Best WLM Reviews

Wing Lei is an absolute gem! My wife and I chose this restaurant to celebrate her birthday, and it was a decision we'll never regret. From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted with warmth and elegance. The attention to detail in the decor and ambiance immediately set the mood for a memorable evening. The service was impeccable, with every need anticipated and met with a smile. Now, onto the food - each dish was a culinary masterpiece. The Wing Lei sampler was a symphony of flavors, and the Three Cups Sea Bass and Braised Pork Belly were melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The Garlic Beef Tenderloin was cooked to perfection, showcasing the chef's skill and expertise. While the Yang Chow Fried Rice didn't quite hit the mark compared to the other dishes, it was still enjoyable. The highlight of the evening was the surprise birthday cake for my wife, a thoughtful gesture that made her day even more special. And to top it all off, the complimentary dessert provided a sweet ending to a perfect meal. Wing Lei has earned our highest recommendation - five stars without a doubt!
One of the top Chinese restaurants in all of Vegas. It even won a Michelin star back in 2009. Very formal and they require dinner jackets for all gents.
The menu has all the classic dishes, not much innovation here. The food is prepared nicely and the authenticity shines through the simple broths and the perfect sauces.
The service and decor are what you’d want in a 5 star property. Priced about on par with a fine dining joint.
It was an exceptional experience for my husband and I. The food, service, ambience, everything was great. We were not able to eat a lot, but they treated us with a full respect. The server recommended us just the right amount. We ordered an appetizer sampler and a Beijing duck. Everything on the sampler was delicious. My husband especially liked shrimp toast. When they brought the duck cart, I was still eating my appetizer, so the server did an u-turn and came back later. The presentation and taste of Beijing duck were wonderful. My husband likes buns but I like crepes, so they brought us both. We have not realized that the dining includes amusebush, a small appetizer, mini-dessert tray, and souvenir pineapple cakes. Overall we had a great time, we would love to come back and try other items on the menu .
Excellent staff, service, and ambiance. Highly recommend Imperial Peking Duck, Garden Dimsum, dessert were superior, especially, the Cherry dessert, Pomegranate Honey Cake, complimentary bite size dessert. Happy Birthday treat for my hubby was exceptional.
We had the Peking Duck tasting menu. It comes with a duck "wrap", duck salad, duck dumplings, duck fried rice, and dessert. The duck itself and the cocktails are really the only things that were worth the price. We would have been happier with just the whole duck and none of the extras. The fried rice especially ate like basic Chinese takeout. We ordered an additional appetizer as well of crispy wagyu. It was crispy, but also overly oily and if we hadn't known it was wagyu it could have been anything. And, at a price point of $32 for three pieces, getting a half bite of pure cartilage/grizzle is very disappointing. As for the service, it was friendly, but we were handed over about three times and had empty drinks for almost 30 minutes before having to ask a busser to get a server's attention. (It occurred to us later while we were waiting another 30 minutes for a server to realize we hadn't gotten a bill yet, that there was a large party that was obviously more important than us.) Overall, we have eaten at several of the higher end restaurants in Vegas and this was the only one so far that we were disappointed in. Your money will be much better spent somewhere else in our opinion. We would, however, order a whole duck to go if that were an option, but nothing else.
First Michelin star Chinese restaurant in the U.S.
Service was gracious and attentive down to the detail of making sure that those of us with purses had a purse stand.
Amuse bouche was lovely -- made of Chantrelle mushrooms. The dumpling soup and the hot and sour soup came as individual servings and were both very flavorful in different ways: the former for its subtlety and lightness, the latter for its intensity and layered depth.
The steamed dim sum was a very tasty choice and beautiful: the unexpectedly bright ruby colored one made of beet. On the bottom was a wonderful combination of nuts and flavoring that was surprisingly good.
Potstickers were fine. The king crab salad was a delicious combination of avocado and mango with a Yuzu sauce that was worked very well.
We had the spare ribs which had just the right sticky sweet tart flavor. We had the Peking Duck and the skin was perfection. They brought the cart over and 2 to 3 servers made sure that the duck was cut swiftly enough and wrapped in skins with sliced green onions tucked in...and delivered still-warm to us. Temperature matters so much with this cuisine, and the elders really appreciated the sensitivity to that value. When the tea got cold they knew to remove the tea and bring hot tea again. The elders in our group recognized the quality of service from that attention to detail.
The sea bass was tender and soft and dense in all the right ways. We also ordered a version of sweet-and-sour General Tso's chicken but favorite part of that dish was steamed bok choy tucked underneath the egg nest; they were placed on some puréed sweet potato, a delicious touch.
Tenderloin beef with garlic was exceedingly tender. The spare ribs had had the right balance of Tang and Spice.
Interestingly everyone's favorite was the garlic green beans. Definitely order. Watch them disappear. In a similar vein the comfort food mapo tofu was instantly appreciated. It's good to known they do the comfort foods well.
Desserts: so lovely when they arrived. And the intelligence of having them just bite-size: all too easy to pop into your mouth (more than once) and the flavors were...well, they made such a harmony in the mouth. I don't know who the pastry chef is but they should get a raise.
We were celebrating a very significant birthday and this was the right way to do it.
The 2015 Margaux had an incredible bouquet and didn't disappoint.
Tab exceeded $1000.
Great overall experience with the food, service and atmosphere. One notable exception, which is why I can't rate a full 5 stars, is that jackets are required for men but that rule was not enforced during my dining experience. I took the time to pack a jacket and was both surprised and slightly annoyed to see men without jackets and a few were actually wearing tee shirts. Rules are either for everyone or no one.
Full disclosure: this was ChatGPT-ed to make it nice.
We recently dined at Wing Lei in Las Vegas and had a mixed experience. We ordered a variety of dishes including Duck Salad, Peking Duck, Steamed Egg with Truffle, Wok Fried Scallops, and Three Cup Sea Bass.
The Duck Salad, Peking Duck, and Steamed Egg with Truffle were delightful and met our expectations. However, we encountered issues with the seafood dishes. The Wok Fried Scallops were overwhelmingly salty, masking an underlying ammonia taste. More notably, the Three Cup Sea Bass had a strong ammonia flavor that was so pronounced that I couldn’t continue eating it after the first bite.
We informed our server about the issue with the sea bass. They were responsive and did not charge us for this dish, additionally offering complimentary pineapple cake treats as a gesture of goodwill.
While we appreciated the attentive service in addressing our concerns, the experience raised questions about the seafood quality at this establishment. We recommend sticking to the duck dishes, which were the highlight of our meal.
