Loved the location, easy access to the highway and shopping/dining in a quiet area. Staff was excellent, very kind and professional. I was super bummed to find out they no longer have a hot tub as that was one of the main reasons I selected this hotel. I also didn't like the fact that they kept a rock in the side door to keep it open all night but other than that it was a good stay with decent rooms.
Check-in was very nice and the lobby looked very modern and updated; sadly the round couch in the middle of lobby is extremely worn and does not make the best first impression. There is a bar in lobby, but it didn't look like it was open at all. Walking by the breakfast room, we saw all the chairs upside down on the tables, which is usually a good sign that the floors are being cleaned after breakfast service (more on this later); looking into the pool area, we noticed that the hot tub was filled in and covered up; a real let-down after a long day in the car. The pool area also only had one high table and one high chair....no other seating available around the pool.|Room 105 is a good sized room; it was overall too dark for us, but it was clean. The fridge was totally frozen over, which happened because the seal was hanging off the frame of the fridge and didn't seal. The cabinet the fridge and microwave were in was sicky and marred; microwave turn table didn't work. The lamps in the room were all 'rusted' (see picture); there were no outlets by the beds at all; one at the desk, one on the desk lamp and one by the sitting area. We had one hand towel, and two wash cloths and bath towels. One side of the bed was way too close to the A/C and not easy to get out of bed during the night; the blow dryer was broken (a flip type, which didn't stay open and blew warm and cold air, even though it was set to 'hot').|The A/C was great and the bed very comfortable and the hot water was on in an instant!|Back to breakfast: in the morning (8.00am), the chairs were still upside down on the tables, except for those where guests had taken them down. Breakfast was not attended to very well until somebody complained and out of a sudden there were two ladies cleaning off tables and floors and restocking breakfast items; bacon, cheese omelets, gravy and biscuits were all good; no yoghurt; only grape and mixed fruit jelly; a fancy coffee maker... it was just a very different experience during breakfast.|Overall, it was clean and comfortable, so, yes, we might stay again if the situation would arise (we stayed, because it was just about 10 minutes to Graceland, so very convenient!)|Best Western PLUS...well, maybe not so much....
A very welcoming place. The staff is very polite and respectful. The breakfast times could be extended a little, When your on vacation who wants to get up at 5am to eat breakfast. But other than that our stay was excellent.
The people were amazing. I hope to stay with them again. We ha family emergency. We needed last minute accommodations it was one of the best stays we had because of the people. The food was good the people were great.
There are better hotels around. Service was okay, room kinda sucked. Missing light bulbs, no full length mirror, was asked to bring used towels back to lobby when I asked for new towels, etc etc
Positive: My only complaint is that my shower did not get hot and I had to take a cold shower. I told the front desk and he showed no concern. Furthermore that same morning he harassed me while eating breakfast as if I didn't pay like the other guest. This hotel was called a best Western plus. It was definitely not a plus! At check-in we had to wait for 15 minutes for a clerk to come and finally check us in. Our room was on the second floor and the elevator and entire second floor hallway smelled of marijuana. Our room had broken tiles marks on the walls, and was basically older and rundown. When it came time to take a shower, we had no hot water. We called the front desk they came up, ran the water for a while and said yes, it’s not as hot as it should be, but maybe it’s just because everyone is showering at the same time. Not a very helpful answer. The ladies at breakfast were very friendly, but the food was not up to par. All in all I would not stay here ever again.
My stay was good housekeeping job well done breakfast job well done.. Highly appreciated front desk staff. I will stay there again when I am in the city the pool was fun an laid back gym good work out
