Best WLM Reviews
Cap City Diner has a classic diner atmosphere and comfort food with a modern twist. It's part of the Cameron Mitchell Restaurants group, with a menu focused on burgers, sandwiches, salads, and hearty entrees. The diner has a vibrant ambiance, friendly service, and is a favorite spot for locals and visitors alike. I was a huge fan of the massive, crowd-pleasing chocolate cake. They also cater exceptionally well for those with allergies, specifically gluten. Highly recommend.
First time here it was really good. Great service. Nice atmosphere for lunch date. I like how each person gets a drink and pitcher filled with whatever you are drinking to refill your glass. Nice portions of food and everything was good.
Great brunch spot! Went for brunch on Saturday morning at 11 (had a reservation). Probably didn’t need a reservation for 11:00, but it did fill up pretty quickly. Everything we ordered was delicious-we started with a half order of the blue cheese potato chips and blueberry pancake fritters. Both very good. I ordered the eggs on hash over medium and it was very flavorful.
Our server was very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. He recommended the half order of potato chips (we didn’t know that was a thing). I’d like to go back to try so many more items from the menu and get more of the blue cheese potato chips!
Wow! What are fantastic experience!
After a friendly greeting we had a short wait for a table, at which we enjoyed an appetizer, two entrees and two desserts to go with one fountain beverage for a grand total of 100 bucks with tip.
Did I mention it was all was gluten free!?!
Gluten free dinner rolls
House chips with alfredo and cheddar (gf)
Philly cheese steak served on a gluten-free bun with fries that were gluten free
And the best gluten-free fish and chips I've ever had!
We took the cheesecake with us but it looks amazing.
Our entrees and appetizer came with allergy picks.
Our drinks were never empty and we will be back!
Nice little spot for dinner. The bartender recommended the meatloaf. (I was dining at the bar). It is BIG... and delicious.
Entrees are 20-30, and the Manhattan is pretty darn good!
Mike and Wyatt do a terrific job of taking care of the bar.
I'll be back.
I will definitely be back.
The pork chops were kind of sweet. The Salmon was decent. Nice crust.the snow peas were a bit much for me but the butter sauce is good. The chicken was fried well but needed more seasoning. I didn’t try the beer battered haddock but my mom said it was juicy and crunchy.
Excellent service and food. Our server, Adam, was absolutely the best! It was our first time here, and we will definitely be back. We had crab cakes, meatloaf and chicken romano, and the rolls were hot and light, so good. We shared the apple pie with ice cream for dessert. Delicious! We plan to come back for a shake and sandwich soon.
I feel like this is the type of place Anthony Bourdain would have loved.
Sitting at the kitchen counter offered a Birds Eye view into the constant symphony of the kitchen, ebbing and flowing, and always in sync. All the menu items were adorned with a sense of homemade hospitality and integrity.
The meatloaf plate made me smile as the question of ‘Is this what homecooking is SUPPOSED to taste like?’ passed my mind.
The full embodiment of the American Dinner is a rarity in the world today. Cap City Fine Diner and Bar is a welcome reminder that it is possible, and it is marvelous, and it takes an entire team to make it a reality day after day.
Thanks y’all, for a meal that felt even better than home.
