Sat at the bar and crushed some wings. The bartenders did their job well and the wings came out fast. Also got to use the pool table in the back.
I always liked the atmosphere and usually I have a very good time eating there, however after this evening I was left rather disappointed when I bit on a piece of plastic in my chili mac and cheese. Thankfully they were kind enough to take half off when I informed them of this, but truthfully it doesn't help when the plate that was on the bottom of the dish that had the chili mac and cheese for the waitress to carry over had a bunch of lettuce leaves that weren't washed off the bottom plate properly. I said nothing about that directly when I left, but I did leave that said plate on the very top of the two dishes that I had for a reason.
I really hope that the management at wings over trains their kitchen staff to do better at cleaning their dishes and making sure that no foreign objects end up in the food that's served because frankly, that could end up being a serious concern if that issue isn't fully addressed properly.
We’re visiting from out of town and this place came strongly recommended. We wanted to visit local establishments and avoid chains. Unfortunately, our experience was poor from start to finish. The first issue we encountered was finding the restaurant and verifying if it was indeed family friendly. We were told by someone local to look for Wings Over Westfield, so we were confused to find “The Hanger” instead and when my husband went in to ask if it was the same place and if children were allowed no one could provide any clarifying answers. Eventually, we found someone to clarify and were told to seat ourselves and they’d be right with us. Friends, no one came. We sat and waited, decided what we wanted, took a restroom break, fed our baby an entire bottle, and were not acknowledged a single time by any of the servers who walked by us numerous times (there was never more than one person from our party missing from the table at any time). We’re incredibly disappointed as we heard great things and always prefer supporting local businesses when we travel.
We all love the boneless honey mustard wings! We tried the lemon pepper this time too. Very good too.
Placed an online order that was supposed to be ready for pick up at 5:45pm. Waited over an hour and it still wasnt ready. I kindy asked how much longer it would take and I was told that they didnt know. I asked for a refund. The pickup desk employee had to get a manager to cancel my order and I didnt even get a sorry. The manager just handed over my cancel confirmation and said "here you go". Awful awful awful. I have spent thousands of dollars at Wings over westfield over the past 13 years and will never be going back after my experience this evening. I had friends over from out of town and wanted to treat them to the best local wings and disappointed everyone. Your customer satisfaction should be your top priority!!! You could have atleast apologized for screwing up.
Not sure who runs this place but the service here is hideous. I continue to ask them not to put ketchup packets on top of the food and they tell me no and keep doing it. I've asked for a little more sauce inside a wrap and they told me no with no reason why they can't. I've gotten wraps with the chicken so overcooked it could chip a tooth. It's so unsanitary to put ketchup packets on top of the food yet they refuse to stop doing it. Places like this shouldn't exist in 2023 going into 2024.
One of my favorite places in Westfield. We visited twice on our vacation this year. The first time the boneless wings were perfect. Cooked just right, sauced perfectly, but the second time they were overcooked and stringy.
Always a great place to eat. Delicious and quick service.
