Best WLM Reviews

Visiting Cleveland on holiday and decided to check out the West Side Market. This place was great with wide variety of fresh seafood, bakeries, meat, produce, cheese just to name a few. You can pick up a coffee but it more a fresh market than eating. There is a little cafe which was very busy. The building is really cool and a great space. Make sure you climb the stairs a one end for a great view. Definitely worth checking out.
My husband and I travel the country full time. During our local stay, we added West Side Market to our list of things to see and do.
We entered the food area first. It is a gorgeous building with a nice run since 1912.
We purchased meats from Jim's; we have not tried them yet so we cannot review the vendor. But they look great!
We each got something different to eat for lunch. My husband got a brat from Frank's and he enjoyed it. I got a gyro from Steve's. I'm sorry, but I don't know how it has decent ratings and appeared on any TV shows, because it was so disgusting I tossed it after a couple bites. Half of the meat was thick and fatty and I don't even know what the sauce was. And I am displeased that I paid $13 for it and had to get cash from the ATM that charged additional fees. The only good thing about Steve's was that the girl behind the counter was pleasant.
We purchased pastries from Euro Sweets and tried one of them...so far so good.
The last thing we did was walk fruit/vegetable row before we left. We should have avoided this area. Vendors yelled at us to purchase from them as we passed by. Nothing more annoying than that. We got to the last two vendors before the parking area and I wanted to get sweet corn. The last vendor on the right had corn and green tomatoes. He was slightly pushy but I got only what I wanted. I wish I would have left without making the purchase. Once we returned to where we were staying, I noticed the corn husks were musty. I shucked them and the cobs stunk too. All vegetables went in the trash. A couple terrible purchases made it a huge disappointment in the West Side Market.
It's too bad...this place could be so nice....
It's always a great time hanging down at the West Side Market. The large selection of meats and the eye-catching bakery never fail to meet expectations. You could just spend, spend, spend here.
There are too many different foods to list!
Must-go if you're only visiting in Cleveland.
What an amazing place! I've never seen so many different kinds of vendors with such colorful and beautiful products, not even at the local farmers market or state fair. We spent two hours walking through, trying to decide what we had to try and what we had room for in our stomachs lol if you plan on going to Cleveland, make sure you add this place to your itinerary!
A&J Produce is excellent!
They guaranteed their farm fresh corn from Florida was sweet. Boy was it!
They were very nice, organized and professional.
Exceptionally clean, beautiful ❤️ produce!
Highly recommend.
I wish my hometown had something like this! So many amazing vendors, with so much good looking food to try! This place alone makes me want to come back to Cleveland!
Amazing interesting historical magical are just a few of the descriptions. Free parking under 90 minutes. A must visit if you are in the area. Locals come here for fresh everything from homemade pasta beef jerky meat vegetables dehydrated fruits and vegetables. It’s truly an amazing experience. Be prepared to be wowed.
I stopped by the West Side Market over Easter weekend with my family while visiting the Cleveland area. The market has been on my list of places to visit and it did not disappoint! Parking is free for 90 minutes or less and $1/hour after that, with a max fee of $10/day. Most vendors accept credit cards, but some charge additional fees to do so.
Being a holiday weekend the market was in full swing and very busy! If you have small children, I would not recommend bringing strollers/wagons. The fresh produce selection was excellent and everything tasted so good! Lots of produce stands give out samples. If I was local, I would love to shop the produce regularly!
We purchased macarons, cannolis, apple fritters, Italian rainbow cookies, brats, snack sticks, breads, pink glow pineapple, fresh herbs, and artichokes. I highly recommend going if in the area and hope to visit again soon!
