We went magnet fishing. Watched a lot of fish in the water. We enjoyed the turtles sunning themselves. Beautiful relaxing spot
Cool little park. Ok spot to drop in the jig with a yak. Easier in then out.
Always a great place to spend the afternoon. Creek water is nice and warm right now, lots of people putting in to tube or kayak, also families just splashing around. History of the bridge is interesting. Picnic tables etc available.
I've traveled past the scenic Wilson Bridge at least twice a day, five days a week, ten months of the year on the way to work for the last twenty-five years. Often I pass it four times a day. I love that bridge. Sadly, I've only ever had the opportunity to supervise some young fisherman there a couple of times but I've always thoroughly enjoyed myself each time.
It's call to walk around and read but if ur their for fishing ur better off going up stream more
Small park but it has grills and picnic tables for cookouts. Great place to stop for lunch. Nice scenery too.
Well worth the stop. Not only do you get wonderful views of the creek and this historic 19th-century stone bridge, but you also get some excellent vantage points of the current US 40 crossing, none too new itself. The US 40 bridge isn't all that exciting to drive, but if you don't stop down here you'll miss what's underneath. That's all you get in the teaser, so get off the Interstate and get over to Wilson.
Nice to see part of history still around. Not much too see or spend time doing but it is a nice stop on trips to see part of history and explore. Parking better on East side.
