I stopped to kill some time as I was staying down the street at the Springhill Suites. Great for getting off the main Vegas strip. Low key area but enough eateries nearby as well as a good selection inside the casino. I played the poker machines & it didn't take all my money for a couple hours. To me that's a win & a cheap form of entertainment. Wait staff came around quite often to offer drinks. I'm definitely thinking of staying in the casino hotel next time around as this was second time visiting & not a disappointment
Parking was free & has indoor garage area as well.
We absolutely love staying here. The rooms are large, with comfy beds and with a small fridge. The only thing I wish was better is the bathroom lighting as it is a bit dark in there. If you want to put on makeup, you have to move to a window for better lighting. Other than that, it is a beautiful hotel with a great gym and pool. The grounds by the pool area are just gorgeous for strolling around or for sitting out there and having a drink.
Positive: I loved being outside of all the people and crowds. This property is gorgeous! All staff were helpful, very nice, and just great to visit with. We loved the Lucky Penny cafe. Excellent staff, service, and food. We split breakfast most days. The pool Negative: I believe a shuttle to the strip and airport would be great(for a small fee). Maybe even like 3 times a day. You don¿t really need to go anywhere though; you have everything right there. Beautiful property. We have absolutely nothing to complain about! Negative: ""
The rooms are getting very dated. My air conditioning went out in the night. Had to have it fixed. HVAC engineer Haley was awesome fixed in no time that morning g saved me moving rooms. The security guy out at the pool was a jerk when I was trying to take a photo. He was watching TV on his cellphone and kept saying the pool is closed. I was in workout clothes. The casino is very Smokey. I highly recommend Durango. New. Clean and nice.
We have stayed at this property several times in the last year. However, this stay has changed my mind on staying here again. We requested an upgraded room (paid for it) and were given a room on the seventh floor facing the pool. We really paid for the view because the room was a basic two queen room. Upon entering our room, we found blood on the walls in two locations that was substantial. I do not know how house cleaning missed this as it was so large. With the dark carpeted floor, we were unable to tell if there was blood also there, but the floor was also very dirty with hair and didn't appear to be vacuumed. We called and asked someone to come inspect it and we asked for the head of housekeeping. She came and immediately said we needed to move. This was a health hazard. So we waited and were moved to a room on the 3rd floor and given a $50 F&B credit. Upon entering in this room we noted where it was lacking in several areas. The light fixtures in the bathroom were shredded, the makeup light did not work and was falling off the wall, the cabinet in room was very dirty, the bed skirt was very worn, the shower handle did not work and had to be repaired, and the shower stall had a sewer smell. We again asked to be moved and were told there was no where else to go and instead waived our resort fee. I was sadly grossed out and actually concerned about the cleanliness of the hotel if staff was able to overlook this large blood stain on the walls. ||Overall, I did like the bingo hall. The slots were very tight compared to the strip. The food choices are good. However, the rooms are way overdue for updates. Also, I don't see the value in their Station Points when comparing to MGM rewards.
I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the treatment my wife and I received during our recent visit to your establishment. Despite spending a significant sum of $200 during happy hour at Bottiglia, our experience quickly turned sour when we were unceremoniously asked to leave the premises.
The incident occurred when we were simply walking around the pool area. To our shock and dismay, the security guard supervisor approached us with an utterly disrespectful demeanor. Not only did he employ profanity in his interaction with us, but he also went so far as to mock my appearance, specifically targeting my hair. Such behavior is not only unprofessional but entirely uncalled for.
What adds insult to injury is the absence of any signage indicating that the pool area is off-limits to non-guests. We were unaware of any such policy and were therefore blindsided by the abrupt expulsion.
This experience was nothing short of appalling. The treatment we received was unjust and left a lasting negative impression. I cannot in good conscience recommend your hotel to anyone, given the lack of respect and professionalism demonstrated by your staff.
We loved the ambience! Steak & veal were EXCELLENT! The Mac & cheese lacked a little flavor for me but, I took it home, added my minor touch (mustard) & then devoured the rest. Broccoli was plain but steamed well. Waiters were attentive, accommodating & friendly! Just a great Mother's Day dinner with the best gift EVER, my daughter!! We both said we'll be back!!
