Everything you want in an upscale fine dining steakhouse. Perfectly seasoned & prepared steaks, scrumptious shareable side dishes, a delightful wine ???? & cocktail list, all tied together with excellent quality service. ???? I recommend the potatos au gratin & the bone morrow. Recommends; Dress nice, it's a classy place. Perfect for birthday or aniversity dinner. Call ahead or reserve a table online. Park in the nearest parking garage, located in the same building/block. The sharable sides are great for 2-3 people. Don't be afraid to ask the server for wine pairing recommendations for your dish. Birthdays, sometimes get hooked up with free dessert when stated on the reservation. Perfect place to be romantic. ????
I had an exceptional experience at Capital Grille! The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, always ready to offer recommendations and answer any questions. The cocktails were crafted to perfection, with a consistent and delightful taste. The crab cake was truly incredible, and the steaks were cooked to perfection. To top it off, the desserts were simply amazing.
My opinion - not worth the hype nor expense. Upon arriving, went to the bar to have a drink. Bar tender was busy talking to a patron and took a while to get waited on. When our table was called, we waited a few minutes for our bill yet the bartender never came back. Went to the hostess station and asked if our bill could be transferred to the table. Without hesitation, she assured us it wasn’t a problem and thanked us for letting her know. When being escorted to the table, the bartender chased us down in middle of the dining area like we just robbed the joint. Regarding our food, my wife and I got filets, not even close to being cooked to what we asked for. No doubt this happens, yet we had to get another server since ours never came back. The server that helped us, agreed our steaks were way off from what we had requested. Over heard another server tell a customer the steak they had didn’t appear to be as ordered. I wish I had that server as they were engaged and offered great customer service. We didn’t even get everything we ordered because our server disappeared. The price tag didn’t come close to matching the expected customer service you would expect. This was our first and last visit as Pittsburgh offers many fine dining options with exceptional customer service.

We were warmly congratulated on that upon our arrival.
At our table we were met with tasteful decorations and a nice Anniversary card from The Capital Grille Team.
Our server was James and he took very good care of us.
Of course the food is incredible.
But the personal touches meant the most to us.
The anniversary dessert was a very nice touch too.

The Capital Grille never disappoints! ????
This spot is our go to top notch staple for any occasion always far exceeding our expectations. We had not been here in a few years so it was so nice to come back the day before sweethearts day. ❤️
We ordered, the bisque, salad, Kona crusted steaks, mushrooms, lobster and crab cakes, lobster Mac and cheese and Brussel sprouts and everything was cooked to perfection.
For dessert, we shared an amazing cheesecake recommended by our equally friendly, attentive and amazing waitress Jade. ⭐️
Five Star Delicious. The food, the service, the vibe here was amazing. Worth every penny. We work hard so why not. Great experience.
My family and I had Reservations at 3:45pm on Mother’s Day which we were running a little late due to traffic. I called the restaurant to inform them and they told us about the 15min grace period which was okay because we got there at 3:57pm lol once we arrived it went left at the front door. Lauren checked us in and seen that all four of us walked in. I told Lauren reservations for the Browns family and she rudely said “Party of 2”? Mean while she seen me walk in with my two kids and fiancé! Mind you he had made a mistake and did not add our two girls. I apologized for the confused and mishap because she made it an issue that we had more than what the reservations had said! Lauren proceeded to say well here it says two not four so now I Have to see if I can Fit you all somewhere and told me to wait! She found a table for us to sit but mentioned that we need to give the table back by 5:15pm so now I feel Rushed but we were soooo hungry! She asked if that was possible to give back the table by that time! I then said to Lauren that we can try our best along with the help of the staff to get us all out by then! She then say noooo it’s not our staff it’s “you” and how long you take! I didn’t want to make a scene I was with my girls but When I say I bit my tongue so hard I shut Up and said okay and walked away until they had our table ready! All the girls that was upfront seen how rude she was treating me and family basically very condescending towards me. There was other parties standing around and it was really embarrassing for me!
They sat us and I asked The one lady if we really had to rush. She was was kind and apologized about how rude Lauren was! I asked Her if Lauren was the manager she said she was the sales assistant I believe! We sat down super nice clean environment! Then Amanda comes over and somehow she was told how rude Lauren was so when she came over she apologized sooo much I was Sooo happy and thankful for that Amanda was literally the best! Then later as we all were eating the store manager came out to apologized as well! When I say My heart was smiling I felt Soooo happy they all were sooo pleasant after hearing about our greeting experience at the door! They made everything else at that moment not matter at all to me any more! They all worked together and told me to enjoy our dinner and not to rush and take as long as we needed but we was out by 5:25 actually lol
Ppl has there preferences on how they review things but it was her for me. It’s ppl like that that will leave a bad taste in my mouth! Especially when your kindness was taken advantage of because I literally just went with the flow of things because I felt Bad we was late and didn’t modify the reservations correctly!
Over all my experience was great the food i mean everything to the handsome manager acknowledging the issue to Amanda being the beautiful soul she is! I just Want to say thank you so much again for turning my Mother’s Day dinner so much better than it started.
It was my fiancé’s birthday and they had a nice little card and confetti setup at our table waiting for her. It made her feel special and good which is what any man wants for their woman. I had no idea they would do that along with the cheesecake at the end of the meal for her. I don’t know what took me so long to try this place out but I will definitely be back for the food and service.
In the middle of a long multi-day road trip, my wife and I shuffled into this location because it’s near our hotel. We were under-dressed and exhausted. But Renee treated us like VIPs and completely made our evening. My wife is 7 months pregnant and it was her birthday, and we didn’t think we’d get to do much of a celebration, but we had the best evening. Good, service, conversation. All 10/10. She really made my wife feel special and that’s what I wanted out of our night. Great location of Cap Grille - probably the best I’ve been to. And Renee is a gem.
