I probably wouldn’t choose this restaurant again! The prices were kind of high for the quality of the food I mean $24 for a basic spaghetti dish with one meatball was kind of crazy. The polenta on my pork chop bish was delicious but the pork chop was very dry. Overall, the consensus at the table was that the food was not that great again almost $30 for three dips with some pita was a bit out there.
Amazing food! And super friendly staff. We also ordered appetizers and they were amazing. And my wife ordered a cocktail that was made very well and was very good. It was a great experience and I will always go back when I'm in town.
We loved our dinner at Taverna Rossa! The food was fresh and delicious. We ordered the crispy artichokes, spinach pies and dolmades! All were very good. Make reservations online or call beforehand as it is a smaller space.
We greatly enjoyed our meals at Taverna Rossa last night celebrating our 51st anniversary. We shared the octopus appetizer, which was outstanding. I had the seafood fettuccini and my wife had the linguine with mushrooms. Both dishes were delicious and well presented. Our only criticism of the food is that these dishes should include crusty bread because the sauce remaining in our bowls would have been enjoyed. Service was very good. HOWEVER, their website is outdated and inaccurate. We arrived a little early for our reservation hoping to enjoy a happy hour cocktail, which the website said we could do, only to learn that happy hour had been discontinued. So sad!
Server was great. Busy and a bit slow due to holiday weekend but the server was excellent and the food was all so so good!!! Crab cakes, Paella and Bolognese were all so tasty. Would definitely go again. Cocktails were very well made. Question: what was the brand of Spiced rum you had, we'd like to get some it was great??
Wonderful go to in Saugatuck! Everything from the Crispy Artickokes and Escargot to the Scallops and Paella were wonderful!! Ed, Zoe and the entire staff are great!
My wife and I had a great time at Taverna Rossa the other night: an excellent Mediterranean-inspired menu, cocktails and wine list. Our meals were first rate as was the service. We think Taverna Rossa is one of the handful of best restaurants in the Saugatuck/Douglas area.
Amazing service and even better food! Our server, Maddy, was very attentive and did a wonderful job. Atmosphere is great. 10/10 would recommend for any occasion.
