Me and my husband traveled from far south we bought 2 philly steaks and we got to our destination and the bread was not fresh the cheese wasn't melted it had hidden onions! We called and they were very rude about the situation We were stomach sick ???? Tastebuds fell off bad
Today I ordered from Taste Bud and it was absolutely terrible. First and last time for me. My Sgt went to pick the food up. If I would have gone there, I look at my food before I leave. I would have told them to give me my money back. We ordered two burrito Philly. Old meat, no lettuce, could barely see the cheese and I had like 3 little teny tiny chops of tomatoes. Both sandwiches were terrible. The fries were so old you couldn't even attempt to eat them. Just terrible. I don't know how they stay in business. Totally ridiculous how this ordered turned out. ???? 01/17/24. The service was fast because they gave him old food that didn't have to take time to cook.
I have been coming here for about 20 years. They used to have the dining room open. Still good food.
My co-worker is from Chicago and she took me here for lunch yesterday. Amazing Philly Cheese Steaks. The fries are hand cut fresh to order and are covered in some sort of delicious tangy BBQ sauce. The meat on the sandwich was nice and hot and just the right amount of cheese. Nice job guys! 10/10
I'm from Grand Rapids but have a lot of family in Chicago. Taste Bud was highly recommended to me and they did not disappoint! I got the jerk Philly cheese steak and it was perfection! Next time I'm in town I am heading back to try the jerk chicken Philly. The sauce on the fries is amazing as well. Highly recommend, great customer service, reasonably priced and love that you can see them make your food fresh.
Update below... I went to the location and ordered the philly chicken sandwich with double meat, only cheese, grilled onions and mayonnaise. It was good. Fries and a drink came with it. For $14.00. I just wish they used mozzarella cheese or provolone cheese. I don't like American cheese on Philly chicken sandwiches.
Update... I'm giving them a 1 star now. Since my first order I've placed two more orders through DoorDash, same order. My 1st order I got a Kool aid drink with my order as you can see above. My last two orders through DoorDash I did not receive a drink. I tried calling the restaurant on several occasions to verify if maybe a mistake was made. Taste Bud never answers their phone. I even sent a message on their Facebook page. And no one ever replied. I don't like that the communication is bad. Not good business.
Good food. City needs to get this area some bike racks for sure, and put some picnic tables in that park nearby. This doesn't reflect on the business, just would be nice to have somewhere to eat outside without balancing a Styrofoam tray on my legs.
I ordered a Philly cheesesteak sandwich. Since when do they come with lettuce tomatoes and American cheese? Not what I had in mind at all 1st and last time.
