1st time here. Looked really good, smells good, meat taste good, but it's really dry. Even with the two different cheeses and sauces. I wish the meat and cheese was melted better with the fries, then maybe it wouldn't be so dry.
As I was standing outside i could smell rhe burrito as if it were being made in front of me. The burrito was delicious after every bite. I even saved it for later and it tasted like it just came fresh off the grill
Below average, mediocre Mexican truck. I tried their shrimp tacos which were chewy. Tried pastor tacos which tasted like pre-marinated pastor meat from a supermarket. It was pretty bad. Maybe I have high expectations because I come from LA and I am Mexican, but if I picked a random taco truck in LA, it would probably be better than this one.
Authentic and dank their carnitas is something special. I’ve been going here since 2012 and have seen their prices go up over the years but their food is consistent and the people that work there are super nice and friendly. Also it can be an interesting Oakland street late at night, I’ve definitely almost gotten into fights there before lol
The best taco truck ever!! Chicken Taco Especial with the chips gone hit every time. Hate the new sauce packaging though ????
3.50 for a taco. They skimp on the meat. There was barely anything on there. They just have the advantage of the location. More cilantro and onions than meat. Find a different truck
Place is best in Oakland, I'm a local I know. Customers are ridiculous asking for extra cheese or guacamole and not being charged more for it. This happens after they get their meals. Not sure if it's to my advantage or disadvantage, since I'm posting this. Wish they took card as form of payment. They have lengua not all places offer!
They could work on getting card for payment it'll get rid of the hassle. If you kindly ask for a little extra sour cream or cheese or guacamole they will give it to you at no extra charge. I see customers taking advantage. Food prices are reasonable considering a plate of chow mein with three pieces of chicken at $25 dollars ah plate. I rather get feast on a loaded steak or chicken burrito for the same price generous guacamole and cheese or sour cream and a soda!
