I received a Cornrow/box braid style and the braids were very neatly done and without pain. The team working there were very professional and gave good customer service.

I was pleased with the outcome. Amy took her time and was respectful and caring about my well-being since I asked for small knotless box braids it took a long time. The shop was clean; Amy disinfected the chair before I sat down and made sure I was comfortable in between time. Shoutout to Matou for keeping up her service throughout COVID-19. The other braider's at the shop were nice and respectful as well. The execution of the braids were on point with the size, and length! I walked out a satisfied customer. I’ve been to multiple braiders and I will definitely be coming back to this salon. Amy is amazing! She washed, blow dried, and cornrowed my hair to wear under wigs. My natural hair is past shoulder length and other braiders had a hard time cornrowing my hair flat to fit under the wig, but Amy did an excellent job. This is the best anyone has ever cornrowed by hair. Amy gave great service and I will only be going to her from here on out.

Today I got Marley twist. I love them! Matou and her staff always do a great job. They listen to you and do the style that you want. This is the only braiding shop I come too

This is the 2nd time they did a bad job. The first time I got butterfly locs and they started unraveling the next day. She did them wrong. This time I wanted butterfly box braids and they started sliding out and very sloppy looking. People thought I did my hair myself. If y’all don’t know how to do a certain style let a bytch know so I’m not wasting my time or money.

UPDATE: I called matou and asked her can she retouch my braids because they aren’t the same length some are long and some braids are shorter. She got smart with me and had a disgusting attitude. Their credit card machine been “down” for years and they are down right unprofessional.

I went here to get a weave. I took it out and the wave had pulled my hair out by the root creating a bald spot. I went back to get a refund and could not get in touch with the owner. It took me 3 days to meet her and I had already gotten a new weave. I showed her the pix i took of the spot and she said it looked like I cut it. I was refused the refund. My hair was not cut it was ripped from the root by the work they did. This is how they do business.

I love Matou Braiding!! I’ve becoming to get my protective styles for a while and I will always come back because they are affordable, quick, and efficient. also the ladies are all so sweet/welcoming. I always get so so many compliments on my hair.. I always refer anyone who asks Matou Braiding.

I really have a good time there it was quick and efficient. They are professional and the guide me for my braids color. Oh boy ! I love my knotless braids and I received many compliments on it. So definitely I'm coming back there.
