Very confused at why this place currently has a 3.6 rating.
This is the place has an authentic vibe and absolutely stunning. The owner was kind to our toddlers and the patio was literally perfect for us.
It will be on the shortlist of places we recommend to friends and family visiting Brugge.
There was a senior couple running this place. They were very sweet. The interior design is also very cosy. You can feel yourself at home. You can find various types of belgian beers.
Glorious bit of peace in Bruges. Yes you’ll need cash, yes you need to order at the bar; get over these trifling concerns and the people who run the place are lovely, the drink choice is magnificent, prices are very reasonable for this close to the middle of town, and the relaxed waterside vibe is a godsend if you’ve already run the gauntlet of the town centre. Would recommend.
Cash only! Great views on the water! Very peaceful and quiet when we went. A fair selection of beer, we didn’t get any food or other drinks so cannot comment. Wish they took cards, we were lucky we had some on us but few people left because they only had card.
Very nice place next to the beautiful lake. We had Kirr which was great. The woman in charge was nice and kind. Payment is only in cash and you have to be order at the bar, but drinks were brought to us. We also enjoyed petting the house dog :)
Everything is very good. Hospitality owners, tasty food, and nice drinks. Good place for quiet, calm conversation and chilling.
Very happy that this place is open again. Stood many years derilict (only possible in Belgium). Someone finally open it up again. You can have a drink there now but take cash with you !! No other possibility to pay ????. Also, don't expect to have something besides your drink. They don't even have a tiny piece of cake. Bit of a shame. Very friendly people but the place needs some tlc. Also, I can imagine that you can do more with this castle. A nice restaurant or a b&b perhaps?
Beautiful canal-side setting and lovely staff. The perfect place for a drink and snack away from the crowds.
