Absolutely love my hair!!! I have been looking for a place for 2 years now to braid my hair like back home. I’m from Alabama and I travel back home at least 4-5 times a year to get my hair braided. I was so nervous about it because I don’t trust people with my hair. They were really nice. They were quick and professional. Thanks ladies, see you in a few months!
This was my first time visiting Chela's and I can say I'm very pleased with my braids, the time that it took to do my hair was awesome. I goggled and found the website I called to see when I could get a appointment. She told that I could come the following day...which was Sunday or if I could come now I could get it done. It was around 6:30-6:45 and I was like really!! I jumped in my car and rolled on up there made it about 7:00. I was shampooed (not to happy with that part but next time I'll just shampoo before I go) braided and out by 9:00. I asked for 8-10 braids and got more. Very nice too...I love my hair!!
My experience at this shop was nothing short of amazing! I traveled from out of town & Chela made sure my hair was exactly how I wanted it. I got knotless boho braids in less than 4 hours. Customer service is top tier! I will definitely be back!
I absolutely love Chela Braiding Salon. Chela is professional. She gets you in and out usually half the time of other braiding salons. Her prices are reasonable. Not to mention that she is incredibly sweet. I always receive compliments on my hair from the time I leave until it comes down. Thank you Chela!
You guys should really read the 1 star reviews because I got fooled by the higher ones. Avoid this place like the plague! I absolutely hated my hair after. I took all of it down the same day I got it.
Chela is a liar. A mean spirited woman. Not very talented. And a terrible business person who couldn’t spell "customer service" let alone give it. Super unprofessional. My hair looks a mess with white gel all over. I sent Chela a text to give some constructive feedback after they ruined my hair and she cussed me out/insulted me lol. So now I'm here to warn everyone.
I went to her for stitch braids. Before I got there i sent her pictures and told her I needed a blow-dry, stitch braids, and add-ons on the end. I had already washed, conditioned, and de-tangled my hair earlier but my stylist cancelled last minute.
Chela told me she would be doing my hair and it was $80 for a 3pm appt. She lied about doing my hair (she didn’t; a random person named Maria did), she lied about knowing how to do my hair (it was ugly, didn’t match the picture, and was terribly done), she lied about the price (she charged me more after I got there for the blow dry), she lied and said I didn’t tell her about needing a blow dry (i did), no one in the salon even speaks English but her and they started my appointment late. Unprofessional, un-talented, and un-likeable.
Don’t support liars.
Even during snow and freezing temperatures, I am so excited about the service I received today. My hair was detangled, washed, and braided for under $300 and very quickly. I definitely believe I will be coming back.

I got box braids and my experience with Chela was absolutely amazing! Her shop is very professional and efficient... I will definitely be back!!! I highly recommend this braid shop! ????✨️????????
Have you ever felt like you were robbed? Well that's exactly how I feel after getting my braids done here.
I asked for jumbo knotless braids and received crooked parts and Very Huge & Heavy braids. In fact, they were SO thick, I came back less than 48 hours later so that she could "fix" them. She took 10 of the 16 braids down and re-braided using less hair. I thought I was good to go. NO!
Now it is day 4-5 and my natural hair is coming out of the braids that I JUST got done. I mean my hair is coming out in several braids. Keep in mind I only have 16. I sent her a video asking for a refund and she told me no and to find another place to go.
She was very nice and had great customer service while I was there but it seems like when you leave, your happiness means nothing.
I only had my hair up for 6 days, paid her $250 and will be getting them taken down on day 7.
