My girl had been asking me to take her to this restaurant for a year now. The closest to where we live is 2hrs away so I opted to skip it many times. I finally gave into it when we went to visit family in Roanoke. We decided to try it. It's scratch kitchen so I expected very good homely food. My expectations .just have been too big. I was craving Mac n cheese and there was none. The chicken salad with crispy tenders was not very good. Lacked greens and the breading was bland. Everyone else was ok w their food. None eaves about how great it was but it was probably better than other restaurants. In my opinion it could have been better. My options were limited and the flavor was bland. The ambiance was nice. The decor was pleasant too. Overall I think it can get 3 stars.
Cheddar was good. We were told it was local, so we went. Our server was very friendly. The food was very good. After we were greeted by our wait staff and ordered our drinks, we were brought two dessert-like corrsaints. They were light and delicious. They claim everything is made from scratch, the food was fresh, and it tasted fresh.
The place was packed and it was still great. Service and food was excellent.
The honey butter croissants are desert-like. Their spinach and cheese dip is different than most, and we loved it. Was excited to find they do the Monte Cristo right too! In short, everything was good.
I've been here for the very first time today to have a lunch. I had a Classic Cheeseburger from their regular Lunch Specials menu. I had this burger medium done and it was a good one - with fresh & tasty adds, like tomato, pickles, lettuce and a cheddar, of course.????????????
The burgers come with fries, which were really good. ???????? Waitress was very nice and friendly. One more thing, that I liked here a lot, was the interior of this restaurant, with a big... hehe, kinda windmill, which has been hung under the roof. And also a fascinating big aquarium, a fish tank with many wonderful kinds of fish. ???? ????
I recommend this nice place and will be back again sometime soon.
This place is amazing. You will not go away hungry, and the food is great. If it's not, they replace it pronto. When did you ever see a burger that looked like this? Only in commercials, right? Wonderful place!
The food was really good. The service was ok waiter disappeared at times bit they were busy. Would visit again.
Had a quick dinner with the family. The restaurant was packed but we were seated as soon as we walked in-party of 4. Staff was very friendly and informative. Our waitress was super helpful and checked on us appropriately. The spinach dip was wonderful- there is a nice amount of spinach in it which I love and it was very creamy. The ribs were very tender I used a plastic fork to get to the meat and had no issues. The beer batter on the shrimp was crispy and delicious. I ordered a strawberry sweet tea- I didn’t taste any strawberry but it decent tea. The dip was worth the visit!
Good restaurant for groups! The menu offers a large variety of food and drinks and prices are reasonable. The staff also allow you to bring cakes from outside (like if you’re celebrating a special occasion).
