Best WLM Reviews
Great value for the money. Had salmon for dinner. Service was very good and quick, waiter was attentive and friendly. The honey butter croissant is irresistible, you may try but at the end you will give in! Will definitely come back.
Had a very nice lunch today and the server was excellent. However, the outside of the place looks like a dump. Cigarette butts everywhere, cans on the ground outside the door; just a mess. That area looks anything, but inviting.
The ribs and the kids meals are really good. The kids meals are really big worth the money same with the ribs very clean place and very nice staff. We’ll be back the salads that I got was really fresh.
From 3 stars of my last review to 5 stars ????
Amazing waiter, food came fast, complimentary honey butter rolls were out quickly which was nice because I was starving!
Loved my chicken fingers and fries, great portions here for adults and kids. Try the spinach dip!
Not very allergy aware. The waitress had to keep going to the kitchen to ask questions.
She also brought out the wrong dressing, and the restaurant was out of something they needed for 2 of the drinks I tried to order. The steak and shrimp were good.
I would say they weren't very prepared for a Saturday.
Probably won't return because there isn't much GF/DF. No sauce options for ribs, etc seems lame to me.
Cheddar's has some of the best food. Order the cheese curds. They are amazing. Their combo dinners, burgers, country-fried steak, and chicken dishes are all top notch. The food is 5 stars. What they need to work on is their service during busy times. The Cedar Rapids resturant is much better than the Coralville resturant with service. If you have a larger group, be prepared to wait.
Everything was fine, except they seated us next to the restrooms in a high traffic area. They did this because five other tables we passed hadn't been bused yet. There were three hostesses who greeted us. Later, I saw that there was one bus boy who ended up cleaning the tables. If the bus boy is busy or on break, why not have one of the employees who are standing around pitch in and help so that the customer can have a better experience?
I went here on a Thursday evening before going to a movie. I was seated pretty quickly and the waitress came within a reasonable amount of time. I ordered the cheese curds and a pilsner of beer. They do not have a good selection of beer on tap but a decent assortment in bottle and they make speciality drinks. I then ordered the bacon cheeseburger with bacon cheddar fries. You get a free honey butter croissant to start. The croissant was warm and flakey, very good and highly recommended. The curds were good, not overdone nor were they oily, though pretty standard curds. The ranch served with the curds was good, better than some other places I have been. The beer was fine and cold. The burger was large, came with lettuce, tomato, and pickle. The burger was cooked through so a bit over for me but still an ok burger. The toppings were fresh and solid, not soggy or squishy like you find in some places. The bun appeared fresh and soft. The fries themselves were fine with a nice amount of salt but the upgraded bacon cheddar left something to be desired. The cheese was all clumped in 2 places on the fries, not melted very well but the bacon pieces were a bit over fine so a few pieces were even burnt. The service was fine and the waitress was nice. The best part of the meal was the prices. In an age of overinflated prices on everything, the prices here are very good and you could come here a few times a week and be better off than going to some places once. So overall, I was pleased with my meal and would recommend this place for a pretty good experience though not going to blow you away. A good solid place for good food. I would go back though I will avoid the cheddar bacon upgrade on the fries. You can even have a few drinks here with your meal without breaking the bank.
