While visiting from Canada yesterday, we decide to give Cheap Charlie’s a try, and we extremely happy we did. And my wife said “ this a restaurant she would return in a future visit”. On Fridays they have a 12oz steak dinner with two sides and two bread sticks for 17.50 and is well worth the price!
The food is exceptionally tasty. We both had the steak dinner. I had the steak dinner with fries and coleslaw and my wife had steak dinner with mash and veggie and we also ordered an order of onion rings.
From the service to the food, everything was amazing. And was 5/5. And everything was well priced.

This place was awesome. They brought out the best buttery warm popcorn while we waited. I got a Munchie Platter with 3 Ribs, 4 Pits (aka Wings) and 2 Bread Stix with Cheese Dip. Wings fell off the bone, Pits were super crunchy and the Bread Stix and cheese deep were warm and dreamy. I also got as side salad and my GF got a Portobello Mushroom Burger and fries. We both really liked this place.
Our server did a great job! The staff was really friendly. The French onion soup was really good! The steak was good, adding the mushroom and onions was a good choice. I liked how it wasn't heavily seasoned. It was kind of loud. To be fair, it may have just been the large Birthday party people. Good experience!
There was so many choices on the menu to pick from. My family and I were pleased with the friendly service. The food was delicious, we will return again when visiting the city.
First time, chosen due to being seen while shopping. Great atmosphere with a wonderful smell that reminds you of a better time that hits you as soon as you walk thru the doors! As soon as I entered my eyes were caught with Cheap Charlie's memorabilia that shows its roots in the community and how much they mean to everyone. My partner ordered the battered shrimp with a side salad (ranch) & fries while I ordered the Saturday special the "Tender Texan" (medium) with steamed broccoli and French Onion soup and two bread twists came with each of the meals as well. Drinks came out fast, with a half pitcher option for various long islands, as well as the soup and salad, and service was amazing and prompt. The whole meal was amazing and we plan on bringing our relatives back for a visit! Side note, the French Onion Soup is a MUST order for every visit.
We LOVE Cheap Charlie's! The Reuben is the best I've ever had. Everything else has been amazing as well! The bread and cheese, Walleye, soup, all delicious! Bathrooms are nice and clean, friendly prompt service. I literally have nothing bad to say :)
1st time there. Had a really yummy salad! The server was great! She even brought me a cupcake with a candle in it for my birthday. Also a percentage off the price of my meal! I
Husband and I stopped here after a day of shopping in port Huron. Big menu with lots of options. I had soup and salad, husband had fish and chips. We both enjoyed our meal. $19 for the two of us, not bad! Our waitress was super friendly and service was fast.
