I love Casa Theodoro for their pizza, I have been eating this pizza for about 3 years now(usually get it delivered) but this time I was around so I decided to eat in.
I have tried other pizzerias in the Astoria area yet this one is my favorite one; always fresh ingredients, thin crust and baked to perfection, Pizza is never too greasy and I like that a lot.
My favorites are Hawaiian with no sauce, Margherita or Prosciutto arugula.
As for the mozzarella sticks they are also delicious, cheesy, crunchy and their marinara sauce doesn’t give me heartburn afterwards.
It was the best chicken franchise I have had in a long time. Had it 3 times, and each one was perfectly made.
Kids got chicken parm broccoli spaghetti bolognese, husband Salmon and me Steak & Fries are my favorite. We’ve always ordered pizza but those meals were very tasty. Also dessert made with Nutella and cream????. Music was great and server very attentive. We loved it!
My husband discovered this restaurant this morning and he and I went there for dinner that same evening. We had the Carnitas which were absolutely delicious. The Chicken Wings were also delicious and crispy, so was the Sangria.
There are Portuguese Dishes that we are yet to try. The Family and Employees are welcoming and friendly.
Be aware this place started automatically adding 20% tip to your bill with no warning or indication that they will do it. The first time it happened I didn't even realize they took $11+ bucks from us until we already paid. The waiter never said they were going to do it and the service was bad anyway so I can't image why they thought they could. Our waiter never came back after bringing the food and actually told us to shout for him if we needed something while he disappeared..
We were so mad that we avoided coming back for about a month, but alas, their buffalo wings are really good so today we went back knowing we better look at our check for shadiness, and sure enough, it was there even though the supervisor(?) also never mentioned the gratuity thievery. So this time I went up to the front and asked why he's adding unannounced gratuity to my bill? I bussed my own table when we finished so all he did was run my food out, but I guess this place thinks that's worth $10 bucks.
He explained to me that he doesn't tell people about the forced gratuity because a lot of people don't tip.. Are you kidding me? That gives you the right to attempt to trick people into giving you 20%? He justified it by saying "well if I saw you were going into your wallet to tip me I wouldn't have let you." I said, but you never told us you were tipping yourself on our bill. He said "but I would have if you tried to tip me again."
I explained to him that to add things on to people's bill and never tell them is actually called Stealing. He made up some other excuses about how he takes it off if people notice and ask him to. Great. So if I happen to notice that you have your hand in my wallet you'll stop if I ask? How.. honest of you?
We've been coming here with friends for years, even before this management team was here. Not anymore. I cought you stealing from me twice. I'll never give you a third chance.

The pizzas are the best, and they also have absolutely delicious plates.
The picanha and all specials are extraordinary!

They sell old food!! First time I noticed I bought a slice of pizza when they first opened. When I went to order I saw what looked like an old pie from the fridge sitting on the counter- there were slices missing but there was more than half left. In the back of my mind I said I hope they not going to serve this to anyone. Lo and behold, 3 hours later I was doubled over with stomach pains and was afraid I wasn’t going to make it home to the toilet!! I stopped eating there for a long time after that, until today! I ordered garlic knots and a beef patty with cheese. Idk why I did that. The garlic knots were so oily. They were made from old stale rolls. You can tell the bread was getting old when u bite into it. The garlic on it was old also. It looks like it’s been sitting there for a few days. The beef patty !! I guess I probably was the only person to order a beef patty from here in a long time. The bread was so hard, couldn’t even bite it and when i finally did I couldn’t chew it.if I get sick tonight, I know why !! I would never order anything from here again. Total waste of money
The ONE PLACE that has Brazilian pizza around… definitely a must try and they have ALL YOU CAN EAT! 9 flavors for $20 per person. Tiago is the best there! Friendly and super nice! Me and my friends had a great time and we are coming back soon.
