Delicious tacos, worth the wait. Ordering is kinda tricky, you have to get in a line for each specific kind of meat. I would recommend coming with friends and each getting in a different line if you want to try multiple different tacos. Everything is very fresh and delicious
These were hands down the best tacos I’ve ever had. The meats are tenders and incredibly flavorful. At only $4.25 a taco I believe they are definitely undercharging for their quality and authenticity. This place is a must to visit on the strip. They have exotic meats from the cow like eyes,head, and intestines as well. The beef head was my favorite taco.
I stopped at this place because I'm a taco fanatic. The line was out the door which also made me do a quick u-turn to see what the hype was about. The atmosphere is AMAZING!!! It was super busy. My downfall is I don't do beef but they didn't have a option for chicken. As I tried the beef. I was not amazed at the taste of the beef taco. Think the meat was a bit o er cooked. I would have to be super waisted to come back.
I had been told about this place and how great the food was. I was not disappointed! The food is fresh and authentic. You can tell Spanish is predominantly spoken, but English is definitely understood - which adds to authenticity.
Of note: each line is for a specific meat or food. For example, if you want chorizo tacos, that is one line, while pork tacos and pork sopes are another, separate line, and fries is yet another line. Get in line for the food you want and grab a tray when you get to the front of your first line, get into any other lines for different foods and when you have what you want, take the tray over to the cashier to pay for what you ordered. They do move fast and will fill your orders quickly. Even when it was busy, the lines moved fast. The seating area was functional and made to handle families with an area where a couple of booths were opposite others. All in all I will definitely include this in my food stops in future.
This is my honest opinion I've eaten Mexican food all my life. This is average which when it comes to Mexican food is awesome because there's some really bad restaurants out there. This is very similar to what I would have at my friend's mom's house or many of my friends mom's house. Now I see a lot of five star reviews if you have never had Mexican food I would say do it because Mexican food is awesome. But if you have I wouldn't do it unless you like to wait an hour and a half to 2 hours to get your order it's not worth it in my opinion. But if waiting around and a loud noisy place is your thing go for it the food won't disappoint. And you'll be able to say I ate somewhere famous and brag about it. That being said my mother-in-law is a much better cook. One thing I should mention don't get in the the wrong line if you're in the the lingua line and you want steak you're going to have to order something lingua and then they'll let you order steak but if you don't want lingua you'll have to start over in the stake line hope that helps have a great day everybody.
I’ve been to different parts of Mexico and have eaten at local taco stands, so believe me when I tell you that these are EASILY some of the BEST tacos I’ve ever had!!!!
They’re super fresh, made with high quality ingredients, bursting with flavor, and prepared with love!!
You’ll be lucky to not encounter a line but if you do, it doesn’t matter because IT’S WORTH THE WAIT!!! ????????????

Tacos were good just felt rushed and confused being our first time trying them. The line up is everywhere and a staff member would try and lead people to where to line up and at the same time, she'd get our tacos so the line won't block the door. Super nice but so confusing. We'd come back to their beef tacos, they were very flavourful.
Tacos El Gordo offered a delicious and unique taco experience. I enjoyed the restaurant's cafeteria-style layout, where different lines are catered to various meat selections. Everything I tried was great.
So my advice- try this place, the line is worth it! Because honestly who can say no to the allure of late night tacos?
