Let me tell ya, the food is authentic and awesome Mexicano!!!!! The service is friendly and unobtrusive. You come in, seat yourself and someone promptly services you.
The portions are great and the price is right. We had the seafood soup (loaded with seafood and veggies) and the burrito supreme (also loaded with goodness). The Mexicano sampler and the stuffed jalapeños are phenomenal as well.
The food was delicious, we ordered the black bean nachos. I should have ordered an alcoholic beverage, a good margarita would have really complimented the nachos. The sweet tea was good too but I didn't get an refill and neither did my wife. The real star was dessert. I have never had it before or seen it on any other menu at other Mexican restaurants but wow, the Buñuelo was amazing and I will definitely be getting it for dessert again
We will definitely be back! We have lived nearby for a couple of years now and finally stopped in for my birthday. I was craving Mexican and this place was perfect. From the moment we walked in, Fernando was welcoming and kind. Gave some great recommendations for food and even brought out a birthday flan for me. I highly recommend their chile relleno (carne asada) and their chimichanga (grilled chicken or carnitas). Everything was delicious. We look forward to our next visit.
Good food and a nice place for lunch. I would suggest balancing the prices out a little. The kids quesadillas are 20% smaller but cost 3 times less. Several other items disproportionally priced, when we had 6 people ordering lunch from$4.5 to $14 yet servings were the same size and similar.
Recommended by another restaurant in the area that was closed after the Tampa Airfest. I am a Mexican food connoisseur and this place was FANTASTIC! We had 8 people that got 9 different things and everyone moved their food. Shredded chicken tacos melt in your mouth. A GREAT stuffed grilled jalapeño on the appetizer menu was worth going back for by itself. Make sure you ask for their own hot sauce
The owner and all her team are wonderful people, friendly, courteous and thoughtful. Great professionals. Food is Excellent!! Prices reasonable.
Great Restaurant
First time visit at 430 pm on Thursday December 27, 2018.
Military discount is 10 percent.
One table of 4 was already in the restaurant when we arrived. The noise level was quite high from conversation of that table on the other side of the restaurant and the staff in the kitchen. Acoustics bouncing of conversations was to a point I thought it was entirely too loud to be enjoyable.
We were given a small container of chips with salsa when we sat. I thought the amount of chips was skimpy and the salsa was very watery. It was spicy but you could drink it with a straw. Taste was good though.
The menu to order simple tacos was confusing. My son loves tacos and we try a new restaurant each time we can. For some reason just ordering regular tacos with rice and beans was not in a standard combination.
The tacos were good. The steak was very good. The ground beef a little greasy
The rice was ok. The refried beans were good. I thought the portions were skimpy though with the rice and beans.
We drank water and the bill before tip was $16.37
Excellent recommendation from our friends. Food was delicious, fresh, and great quality. Fernando, our server, did an awesome job taking great care of us. I recommend the enchiladas for sure and the carne asada. We will go back again.
