Food was mediocre and a bit expensive. The chicken I ordered was burnt, despite me asking them not to give me a burnt one. The food on the counter seems to be sitting there for a long time. There are other good Latin-American restaurants that serve the same type of food compared to this restaurant. I am all about supporting our local restaurants, but this place could improve and do better.
Ordered from here a few times, but this is getting out of hand. I'm not sure if they think their paying customer blind or they just don't care about their paying customers. They are always sending the salad like this. It is no good, and it's clearly very noticeable, and it smells rotten. Very over priced.
The food is great. They give you are large portions of food, which will definitely last for or week or more depending on how you eat and can resist the temptation of the yellow rice, plaintains, and beans. The beans alone I will gladly eat without hesitation.
They recently renovated the restaurant and so the food is towards the rear as opposed to the front.
I usually go mid-afternoon hardly any wait and the servers are friendly. You have the option of eating in or taking out. Good Food option in Pelham Bay.
I went there today for the first time overall good experience no complaints. The service and food is great ! Affordable prices & great tasty food I’ll definitely be coming back !
Mofongo need I say more, it's delicious.. Nice friendly and prices are very reasonable. Wide range of Dominican food, eat in or take out.
The food is decent and I used to like this spot, but them not including a rice and beans option on the lunch specials was a deal-breaker (u gotta buy the beans separate).
First time coming here forgot to take a picture of the spending display of the food I had once served. They are very busy here and you will need to not be in a rush if you wanting to eat indoors. Food I had was very flavorful. They will need to work on just getting the heat up in the establishment other than that I would recommend coming here if your a tourist.
Food is tasty. However, this review will be solely based on their miserable cheapness. I bought a lunch the other day and the woman literally put ONE piece of plantain on the dish and said this is what the lunch is entailed of and that if I want an additional two pieces it would cost me like $3.00. The lunch also only included 5 pieces of chicken chunks… if you’re around the area you’re better off just ordering from UberEats then to pay a place that literally counts how many grains of rice will go on your plate. I wish I was exaggerating but I’m not. Matter of fact just to prove it.. I think I’ll go back just to take a picture of the moment I’m being served and I’ll come back to edit this review with photos.
