Nice scenery and peaceful. THE ROAD IS ROUGH I drove my truck but I would recommend a side by side or 4 wheeler it gets pretty tight in some places.
This is an incredibly beautiful spot. Much of the time you would have it to yourself. The drive down there is dangerous if you are not careful, and there are several crosses by the side of the road where people apparently went over. It is a rocky road, and best done with some clearance on your vehicle, and maybe 4-wheel drive. Go slow.
I visit here once every summer from ohio. Always a great time. Truly a beautiful place and always run into great people while visiting. A nice sandy river bank to swim and sometimes there's even rope swing . Please be aware of the current though. This river is very powerful. If you find yourself getting tired make sure to take a break
There is parking by the bridge, however the road is in pretty rough shape. If you don't have a suitable vehicle you should pull over about a mile or so away from the bridge and park on the side of the road then walk the last mile.
Isolated. Rough road to get there. Beautiful colors. Great views. Calming.
Beautiful place to visit in the middle of nowhere! I came down on the side of the river that has the parking area on it in a 2007 Mustang and made it down and back out with minimal issues. Coming in the other way people said they were dragging SUVs in places.
We've been here on our ATV & found it in the truck from the Masontown side of WV. Lots of fun near here to be had in the water!
Fun place to ride and enjoy the Cheat Canyon.
