Wonderful!! Room was very clean. Well maintained. Spacious. Convenient to Rainbow bridge and State Park. Comfortable beds, fluffy pillows. Lots of towels. We will recommend and visit again, definitely. I only wish I would have made this my hotel for entire stay. Fabulous choice!!
Celebrated our 20th anniversary at the resort. Casino is great. Local restaurants are much better bet than on site ones. Maintenance staff was really nice and helpful when our room door wouldn't unlock. Loved the huge bathroom and built in vanity. Great value.
I have written a review previously about this casino but this review is for May 17th. The rooms are fine and ok for a night. Nothing over spectacular and the rooms look exactly the same as they did prior to the pandemic. The casino was tight...no one was winning any jackpots but the atmosphere was fun - there was a live band on Friday and then DJ. My real review is for Cascata Restaurant. The food is very good. But...the restaurant should have a dress code. We were dressed nicely (not overly crazy) but people were sitting in the restaurant in shorts and t-shirts...like they were gardening all day. That takes away from the ambience. But that s not the fault of the restaurant - but there should be a dress code. But my biggest issue was the waitress we had - she may have been new but there are some things waitresses should know. 1. We ordered a bottle wine. She brought the bottle opened it and then proceeded to pour 2 glasses - ummm...hello? can you do a short pour for us to take a taste test? 2. We were sitting near her station and we were having a conversation - just idle chit chat. We discussed the items on the menu and I said to my husband, "I think I'm going to get the Tuscan Shrimp and Pasta". The waitress came over a few minutes later and looks at my husband to take his order - Again - you take my order first sweetheart - as I turn the page on the menu she says "the tuscan shrimp.". I ask her, "oh, how did you know that?" and her response "I was listening to you 2 talk." WTF? 3. We asked for extra bread which never showed up and finally...the best for last! 4. I couldn't finish my dish and I asked for a takeout container to take the rest with me. The waitress brings over the container, continues to take my fork and scrape the food from my plate into the contain right in front of me - Like you do with children. What is wrong with you lady? Then puts she empty plate back down in front of me and puts the fork and knife into the bowl. So the food is amazing, but the level of service is clearly lacking. Come on Seneca - you can do better than this. These waitresses needs some training - this isn't a Denny's.
We did not stay at the resort, only visited the casino.
The casino was nice. Clean, with a separate smoking section.
A good variety of slots. Staff going around asking patrons if they wanted drinks.
At one point my slot card stopped working and I went to member services. The issue got resolved easily.
It was a pleasant experience overall.
Service was terrible. Check in desk was unfriendly and unhelpful. We were exhausted after driving12 hours and would have appreciated not having to search for elevators, pool floor etc. Valet service ignored us at checkin and kept looking at phone. Valet were better in the morning. Security were friendly and helpful.
The room was good. Mattress okay and pillows were comfortable. Nice size room. The only negative was that the room we had was right over pool and smelled like both chlorine and cigarettes. The air conditioner did not seem to work well and stayed at 22 C even when adjusted
The hotel is not really “near” the falls and falls view is pushing it. We had a view of parking lot and pool roof but we were only staying the one night. We had hoped it would be a good stop on a long journey
The pool area does look lovely and there are lots of restaurants on site. Watch though because they are closed certain days
Very beautiful hotel/resort. The rooms are spacious and very clean. I ordered food in my room and it was delivered quickly. It is sent to you in a hot box which is underneath the rolling table so it's nice and hot when delivered. The lobby is gorgeous. In order to get to your room, your keycard must be presented to the scanner in the elevator. I had a wonderful stay there.
We just spent a weekend here to see the falls. The location is very central to local restaurants and close walk to the cataracts. However, the smell of smoke is extremely noticeable in the lobby, almost all times during the day and night. The room we chose was a non-smoking room but I think all of the sheets are washed together regardless of the room it come from and some had yellow smoke stains. The towels were fairly rough and stained too. Other than that, the room was fairly large and comfortable.
Very nice hotel. Many of us are here for a (U.S. Navy) ship reunion. Plenty to do, lots to see. Higher floors offer great views. Rooms are really nice and spacious, with fridge, coffee maker, and a safe, but NO microwave.
