Thank you to everyone! Food was great and Tonya was very generous with her time telling us about our new home town.
Definitely a great place to take your time and enjoy the atmosphere.
10/10 Hands down the best place to eat in the area.
Came in with a table of 4. We each had something different as well as 3 appetizers. Unfortunately, they were put if the boudin balls but the fried calamari, the bang bang shrimp, and the alligator sausage are all fantastic. I really can't say a single bad thing about our experience.
We wound uo taking 4 of their homemade desserts home. The Blueberry Cobbler, Lemon Cake, and 2 different cheese cakes. The pieces were huge and they were absolutely delicious.
This place is a must try if you've never been.
We both had the seafood platter. Everything tasted fresh and served hot. More than I could eat. We had to get a to go box. Great atmosphere and friendly staff!
Delicious food, friendly service and a beautiful view of Gantt Lake. I had the hamburger steak with grilled onions, peppers and sides of rice and Mac n Cheese. My husband had the Crawfish etouffee with a side of red beans n rice. The flavors were excellent (a little salty) and you could tell this was "made from scratch." We even enjoyed a short walk on the pier by behind the restaurant to get a closer view of the water after our meal.
You rarely find good Louisiana Cajun food this far away from New Orleans, so this was a pleasant surprise. Definitely off the beaten path, but worth the drive into the country. I recommend this restaurant.
We had a great experience Saturday afternoon. We each got one of the Specials and they were both delicious. The blackened grouper was wonderful even without the Ettoufee which was good also. Lots of food so we even took some home to enjoy the next day. We thought the homemade blueberry cobbler made with cream cheese and served with ice cream was yummy too! We look forward to returning and trying more dishes. A walk out on the dock is a nice treat to add to the laid back atmosphere. You can even dock your boat if you're on the water for the day.
A couple Mustang Clubs got together and decided to descend on The Buckboard today. Talk about making a reservation... They opened an hour early, we showed up with 52 people in 40 Mustangs.
The food was great, service exceptional. I can't thank the whole staff for making our event memorable
They were overwhelmed we had a party of 12 had to wait on them to get tea glasses washed for 2 of our party. Steaks were good the others in the party said. I got the seafood platter and it was awful. No seasoning, Luke warm at best. Service was very slow, 1 and done! 2 appetizers and 4 meals I paid for was 200 bucks so not worth it. Had to say something to another customer who had been in the beer pretty good about saying the f word every other sentence knowing the employees heard it. Definitely will not be back!!
Great service, awesome food all the staff ensured you were taken care of. Steak cooked to perfection. Visiting from Savannah. There's a down home southern atmosphere with a cajun twist. Definitely will be back. Thank you Mariam for your hospitality.
