Best WLM Reviews
Being from Chicago I've been so excited to go to this place since I heard about it over a year ago and reading the reviews I thought this was going to be a very great experience and boy was I disappointed. I don't know if it was an off day or because it was dead slow but this was no Italian beef I know from Chicago. The beef was twice cooked must have been old from yesterday reheated multiple times I don't know it was terrible and the au jus was the saltiest I've ever tasted and even the gardenia mix was Chopped all fine instead of the nice and whole stuff I've seen in the pictures. Maybe they need another chance from me. Maybe they don't, but $$19 for the sandwich. I'm so mad I will say that though the roll and the service were good.
Broad Shoulders was absolutely amazing! We stopped here for a quick bite when passing through Pompano and it was nothing short of delicious. We got the Cuban sandwich and spicy chicken sandwich. The food came out hot, flavorful & large portioned! We are always on the lookout for Cuban sandwiches and this place hands down has the best one in south Florida! The owners were phenomenal and very personal able. If you are in the area and looking for a sandwich, soup or salad this is a MUST try!! We can not wait to come back and try their Italian beef and Chicago style hot dog soon!
Broad Shoulders makes up delicious sandwiches using quality ingredients. I tried the spicy fried chicken sandwich which was fried with a nice crispy batter. It was served with lettuce, tomato, pickles and spicy mayo. I didn’t taste much heat from the spice but it was still a delicious sandwich.
We ordered a side of fries which was more than plenty for 2 people. I really liked the fríes. They were perfectly crispy.
These sandwiches are a little pricey but I left with a full belly and completely satisfied after eating here for lunch.
Employees were very friendly and as I understand most everything is made from scratch. If you’re looking for a great sandwich spot be sure to check out Broad Shoulders Sandwiches.
Great sandwiches! Best Rueben around !
Got here by mistake after the original place we wanted to go closed for the day. So happy we did.
Will come back to try the Mahi mahi sandwich.
Spotted this place from across the street and decided to give it a go. We came in and were assured sitting outside in front was fine by them. The owners took care of us and they couldn’t have been more welcoming. The drinks were good and the food was outstanding. I had a little request for my food and they quickly corrected it and were so gracious and thoughtful when they delivered the dish again. I was thoroughly impressed by their hospitality. It’s not the mishap that shaped my impression (small mishaps happen all the time and make life interesting) it was their recovery that I admired. I will be back not only for the food but to say hi and see them again. The only thing that “bugged” me ???? was some standing water in the planters out in front. As a Floridian I can’t help but always be aware off mosquitos and ways to reduce their presence. I wanted to say something but there’s was nothing anyone could do about it at the moment and it had been raining a lot that week so as a good guest I dealt w it since I had chosen to sit outside in the first place. Hope to go back asap and try more things on the menu! Leave a like or follow me if this was helpful. Check back for updates and new reviews of places around town.
I’m in Ft. Lauderdale on vacation and dined at Broad Shoulders Sandwiches for the first time on Saturday. This restaurant is tastefully decorated and very clean. The Shrimp Po-Boy was the best I’ve ever had; the shrimp was well seasoned and tender, and the remoulade sauce was the perfect condiment for this classic seafood sandwich. I also ordered the Key Lime pie for dessert and it was the perfect summer time indulgence! I enjoyed lunch so much at Broad Shoulders Sandwiches that I returned the following day and ordered the Smoked BBQ Rib sandwich and the macaroni and cheese, both were delicious and two thumbs up!! This sandwich shop is amazing and highly recommended. Run, don’t walk to this restaurant and be prepared to enjoy an extraordinary dining experience!
This is one of the best sandwich shops anywhere, and the owners are even better. This last visit I tried the Cuban Sandwich. It's enough for two people, authentic, and well priced. Every ingredient on every menu item is top notch.
To call this place a sandwich shop is a discredit. Some of the best food in Broward county. The owners Cheryl and Tom make you feel welcomed and deserve every bit of success they get for creating such a wonderful restaurant.
We have eaten the spicy fried chicken sandwich, the broad shoulders burger, the Cuban sandwich, the Chicago beef sandwich, and the Reuben. You cannot go wrong with any of them but the Spicy Fried Chicken is my personal favorite.
I'll be coming back many many more times.
