Wow! I am very impressed with Brett's Pizzeria! So many great things to comment on. First, they make three different styles of pizza! California hand tossed, Detroit deep dish and a Chicago deep dish. We had the hand tossed and Detroit tonight (the Chicago style takes longer so I will try that next time). Second it was delicious. Third, the prices are fantastic! Seriously impressed with how much food we got for the money, it is a screaming good deal in today's overpriced marketplace this stands out to me. The sauce had great flavour and the cheese blend was spot on. The dough is excellent and the pies were cooked perfectly. They have an arcade, pool tables, TV's for sports games a large dining room and friendly staff. This will be my go to for pizza now in Eureka for sure. It is the old Angelo's location which is an old school pizzeria building so it is wonderful it is so greatly improved yet continuing a tradition for the location. Bring your appetite and if you like good beer they have that in drives too.
First the good:
Both pizzas I've had there were good. Had a BLT and a Chicago style.
Service: super friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Only praise to the 2 workers.
The bad:
Had one of the "fresh baked" grinder sandwiches, the Italian.
The bread is a pizza skin. That skin was so tough. I haven't a clue how it made it to the menu, never mind to my sitting. It was unedible. As in only ate half of the contents. Even that was unsatisfying. On the whole, their sandwich game is sandlot level.
Atmosphere: worse than its ancient predecessor; Angelo's. It is loud, cavernous, cold, impersonal, and remote feeling. It's akin to eating at a bus station.
In the future, when hankering for a Chicago style or their version of the BLT, it will call it in for pick-up. The Detroit style pizza is also on the try-it list.
This place is huge! Bring your next part here, no shortage of group seating. And there’s arcade games and pool. The pizza is AMAZING! We tried the Detroit deep dish pepperoni (large), bread sticks (small) and the Greek salad (small) all amazing and fresh. What a gem this place is!
Loni (Leilani ???? ) was very pleasant to work with today! Since It was My first time in, She was very helpful to make any recommendations to My order! I will Definitely be coming back here soon! Thank You Leilani, for the Excellent Service & Nice Smile!
p.s.
There is a room with a Pool Table & several games to play in the Game Room too. And as well as several TV’s and Big Screen too, to take advantage of Game Days & Race Days!!!
And, My Pizza was Bomb! ????
We have been searching for the perfect-for-us local pizza place for years and we’ve finally found it. Brett’s Pizzeria is not only incredibly great pizza with a variety of styles to choose from, but is a great deal for what you get. The Detroit Pizza is a must-have. We want to try their Chicago deep
Dish which I hear from multiple friends is a whopping 7 lbs(which explains the price) and delicious but we can’t stop ordering the Detroit! Thick pan pizza crust, light and airy and good quality toppings and the perfect amount of cheese. They also have more traditional hand-tossed pizzas too but we haven’t tried those yet either. So glad to have such great affordable pizza in town! Staff are friendly and consistent. The Detroit feeds the 2 of us for 3 meals easily, and we don’t get tired of it. Yum…
This is my new favorite pizza! I grew up with homemade Chicago style pizza, so I have a pretty high standard, and I was pleasantly surprised that Brett’s did not disappoint! The crust was crispy yet fluffy, just like my mom used to make in her cast iron skillet! We got a simple pepperoni Chicago style…it was SO GOOD. Also it fed us for days, just like the guy (maybe the owner?) said it would. It takes an hour, but is well worth the wait. We’ve also tried the Detroit style BLT pizza - seriously delicious! I might like the Detroit style even better than the Chicago style. The ingredients seem really high quality, I especially like the sauce (a lot of places seem to pay not enough attention to the sauce), the cheese was really good and used liberally (and less greasy it seemed!) the bacon was thick and the pepperoni was even good quality! I don’t know, it just feels like there’s a lot of care and passion going into the pizzas.
Honestly, I could care less what kind of clothes the servers are wearing - if the food is good! Idk what kind of pizzas these people with the low reviews are eating…both times we’ve eaten there it’s been amazing.
I also love the interior…it’s so fun playing pinball while waiting for your pizza, it felt like my childhood again.
Brett's pizza crust....you don't even need sauce to eat it, it's that good ???? Inexpensive and delicious, plus they have beers on tap reasonably priced as well.
I don't usually leave reviews but Brett's was great! Ordered a Small pepperoni olive Detroit style. Waited for the pizza and when it was brought out the (who I think was the owner) had a large. He told me the dough wasn't at the proper raise in the small pans so he just went ahead and cooked me up the large. Shows that he knows his stuff and wants the customer to have a quality product.
Of course when I got home the pizza was delicious, up there for the best in town now. Detroit is something different not many of our places do around here and it was fantastic!
Got recommended from a co-worker and I'll recommended to more. Thanks Brett!
