Went here for dinner after doing the museums on a Monday. Parking was free and there was plenty of spots. We spent 35$ for 2 sandwiches, large fries, a cup of cheese sauce, a cup of chili and a large Chocolate Cake Shake. Filling and decently priced.
Chocolate Cake Shake is well worth it, and the beef and cheese croissant sandwich is a safe basic option if you're unsure what to get.
If you’re looking for something local, here’s the place with Chicago style hotdog! Lovely atmosphere- very American with good vibes.

This was our first time visiting Portillo's in Chicago! It was Just a random visit to the Windy City. My kids and I are from Indianapolis, So we've never before had the experience with eating at such a cool restaurant! The service, atmosphere, and food was such a pleasant experience that I had to see for myself if Indiana has one. Turns out we do. Just not in Indianapolis. It's actually one location in fishers Indiana that we will be visiting soon just from such an awesome experience at the Chicago location!
I give more star to the atmosphere. The food can be good if they don’t burn it.lol.
The place has lots of parking. Near to a good shopping mall.
It’s a big portillo’s for big groups. The service is fast. Polite staff. Fairly clean bathroom. Clean tables. Tables are covered with thick plastic cover and they clean it almost after every seat.
I can surly say that if there is no other option, portillo’s is known restaurant. Pricing is absolutely great. We got two burgers and drinks for $26. This is a big thumbs up ????????.

Food was yummy! We enjoyed the Chicago style dogs and chocolate cake shake.
My BF has never been here so when we were driving though Chicago, I had to take him. Everything was awesome, as always. Already cant wait to be back.
If you visit Chicago-come here for memorable food and a great glimpse of the city. The Italian beef sandwhich is so so good and the cake shake is everything you are dreaming of. Whenever we visit Chicago we make an intentional trip to visit this Portillo. This one has a drive through as well!
