Had a pretty good time here. The guacamole is a little expensive but definitely worth it. Everything tasted great. I got to sit outside and it was so nice. The service was also very nice. All waiters and waitresses I believe are bilingual. I would recommend eating at this place !
The food was super expensive, the waitress was friendly. The queso for $8 was the best part. The salsa for the chips were decent. The entrees themselves were very subpar for the price. No rice/beans inside them or on the side. The spinach dip smothered burrito tasted like queso with a can of creamed spinach. The chicken was good in it though
I found this gem when looking for authentic Mexican cuisine and I was not disappointed. I took my family here just after Christmas one Saturday afternoon. We started with chips and salsa, we added queso dip and the chips were gone before we got our main dish (that's how good it was) and I could have eaten that stuff all day. Absolutely delicious. My girlfriend and I both got the enchiladas and my sons gor the taco plate with beans and rice. It was exactly what I was hoping for, it came with 4 enchiladas, 2 beef, one chicken and one cheese. They were very tasty and the portion was perfect. Everything was fresh and pleasing to the eye and the taste buds. Very well done blue agave and I will be returning in the future for sure. It is a little pricey in my opinion but worth the price in the end.
Overall it was a nice experience. In the beginning it took a while for us to be seated even though the restaurant was completely dead. Our waiter was okay, she wasn’t too friendly or attentive.
I ordered the quesadilla that comes with chipotle sauce and it was pretty good. It was pretty messy and hard to eat. The rice was really good but the refried beans weren’t my favorite.
My boyfriend ordered the birria tacos and he liked them but it wasn’t too big of a portion size in my opinion. The complimentary chips and salsa were pretty good. They are fairly decently priced for a Mexican restaurant
I had the fiesta quesadilla and it surprised me, not in a good way either. It was rather disgusting & I couldn’t even finish it. I felt like I wasted my money to be honest.
The environment/atmosphere & service was good, I have no complaints in that regard. But man, that was the worst quesadilla i probably ever had.
I’ve lived in Mexico for a year and ate hundreds of authentic quesadillas so maybe I am holding this restaurant to a high standard but it should be high quality of its a professional, sit down establishment.
They need to take a trip to Mexico and get in touch with how it’s properly cooked. This was not it.
The food was amazing and the service was even better! The best house margarita is the best that I've had. And you don't need many! Thank you for a superb lunch!
Different variety than the standard Mexican restaurant. Service was great. Quick and good food. Can't ask for much more. They have very interesting things at the front door. Good looking desserts and flights of tequila shots or sample margaritas. Maybe when I'm not working. Great place, worth eating at every week. Jeremy and Hector. Some of the best waiters in town.
This was the second time I had been to Blue Agave. The first time was poor, but today was perhaps worse. I ordered fish tacos. The fish was muddy tasting and the rice and beans sides were cold. The waiter was polite and offered to replace the meal. I ordered the Trio which was promptly prepared and served hot. Unfortunately it was not good. The portions are small considering the price. Chips had a bitter aftertaste on both visits. Salsa was mediocre-more heat than flavor. The guacamole appetizer was surprisingly good however. Service was extremely slow. I was pleased to note that the odor of sewer gas was not as strong as on my previous visit. I can find nothing to recommend about this restaurant other than the wait staff are pleasant and outdoor dining is available.
