Love the atmosphere! The food wasn't anything to write home about but it was definitely a fun little place to get breakfast! Not that it was bad just about average! The pancakes are a little sweet but overall not too bad, go for the atmosphere!
Busy with business but pack with great people. Black Bear Diner is amazing with large portions and great prices.
We had a larger group, so I understand it potentially taking a while for an order. However, it took 2 hours from being seated to receiving our food. Our server, Ashley, had come by multiple times to fill drinks before bringing meals. She also brought extras of drinks we didn't order and when our food did come, she was not knowledgeable about the order itself or who things went to. She needed 3 other servers to help bring out the food. You could tell things had been done for a while because many of the orders were lukewarm or cold. From our table, it was easy to see our server hanging out making drinks quite often and did not see her taking other tables or checking for if food was ready. Every other server who helped Ashley was helpful in making sure we got what we needed.
I recently had lunch there. My server Shailey was very attentive. She greeted me with a warm and friendly smile. They have a big menu so I didn't know what to order, but she was so friendly and took the time to help me find the right option for me. The sandwich was delicious, the fruit was fresh and the orange juice was so refreshing. I will definitely be coming back, excellent service, excellent food and a great atmosphere.
Was trying to eat light ???? that's not something you can do here. I got the California bacon eggs benedict. There was tons of food on every plate! Everything was great.
The food was good, I've been to this one a few times now and the service has been hit and miss. The first time everything was awesome. This time however it was just ok. I'm guessing it was they may have been a little short staffed. Our server was very nice and fairly attentive for the most part. I think she was just stretched a bit thin, too many tables to keep going at one time.
The food was very good again. It's been that way at all the B.B.D.s I've been to. So apparently there's something to be said about their training throughout the franchise or corporate. They seem to have good training and have most of their ducks in a row!
The Western BBQ burger was very good, as was the turkey club. The dessert was also nice, specifically the cobbler and brownie sundae. The service wasn’t the best, with our server not being very attentive.
This was the absolute worst experience I have had at black bear diner which is usually our favorite. From start to finish almost 2 hrs between waiting to get our food and drinks and never coming back to check on our drinks. Hopefully it gets better because we like this place.
