Coming through the city and was starving for some lunch! I saw The Big Chic and.thought I’d give it a try and thank God I did! WOW! When I walked in, everybody was friendly and made for a good atmosphere. Food is incredible. I got the chicken sandwich special. All I have to say is I don’t live near here, but I will be coming back for the food! It’s worth the hour drive!!! WOW Y’all ????????
Nice spot with some good fried chicken!! Chicken snack comes with fries and a roll.
Worst food I’ve ever gotten there. Chicken fingers weren’t even chicken fingers more like chicken rocks! So hard and small like they had been there for days! Potatoes wedges were not fully cooked and the chicken sandwich was just as hard and didn’t even put on there what I had asked for. I’ll drive the extra 30 minutes to go the one in Jackson. At least o know I’ll get what I asked for and more for my money! By far the worst and line was backed up and the one was too busy on the phone. Tried calling back and couldn’t even get thru and it wasn’t worth driving back up there for!
They NEED a place to pick up to go orders where you don’t have to wait inline for people moving extremely slow. People need to remember a restaurant isn’t a playground either.
Catfish was greasy.
Hushpuppies were raw on the inside.
Slaw was bitter.
Couldn’t eat it.
Will never go back.
My only problem is with the Chicken Gizzards I just wish they would boil them for about 1 hours to make the membrane tinder where you could eat the whole gizzard. They are delicious.
Was passing thru town and saw the action of people coming and going inside the restaurant. Stopped in and was not disappointed at all. Chicken Tenders were perfectly made to order, soft with a crispy layer of breading. Fried chicken was also very tasty. If you are a local or passing thru, stop in and give them a try.
Upon a friend's fervent recommendation dubbing Big Chic as "The Best Chicken in Georgia," I ventured to experience it myself. Verdict? Absolutely spot-on! Indulging in their delectable offerings was an experience akin to encountering sheer culinary delight.
The ambiance, nestled within the charm of the old town, added a quaint allure to the dining affair. Moreover, the service was notably commendable, enhancing the overall visit.
The standout stars of the menu were undoubtedly the tantalizing chicken dishes and delectable pies. So much so that I am unequivocally willing to traverse 37 miles again solely for another taste of this irresistible goodness.
