We went on a Friday evening. Your best bet is to go when they first open at 4pm, that way, the food is fresh, and you beat the crowd. They get packed quickly! The seafood buffet is about $50 per person, but you can order from the menu if you like. The crab legs are juicy, the steak was a bit fatty, and the dessert left a lot to be desired. If you enjoy colonial art, the decor is right up your alley. The waiters huddle in the corner on stand-by and will come to remove your discarded shells and such.
It was a Long line to get in, but glad I waited. Food was well Seasoned for a buffet. All you can eat Seafood for $49.99 per adult. I had crab legs, Norfolk special, crayfish, Mahi Mahi, shrimps and more.
It was my Mother's day treat. The Malibu Cocktail ???? was tasty ????.

Omg my stomache hurts I ate too much yummy food everything was delicious. The music and the atmosphere just beautiful. The waitress Lucy just kept bringing us more and more drinks before we were even done drinking + drinks are free refills! This place is all you can eat seafood buffet and they had more then seafood. The grilled chicken has seasoning on and and so soft it was yummy the potatoes tasted much better then most places I've been too. The crab legs yum. What am I saying is everything was so yummy. Super soft white cake it was like eating a cloud.
I had a wonderful experience here at Captain George's. It exceeded my expectations, for a buffet. The food was very good and the service was amazing.
I usually enjoy Captain George’s. It’s one of my favorite restaurants. Always consistent. This time around everything seemed smaller. The scallops were the size of a dime. I’m not sure why. Could be a seasonal thing, but again… one of my favorite restaurants, so I have been several times before. Meaning, I’ve visited during the winter months. I always go for my birthday in January. Nonetheless, the taste was good and consistent. I enjoyed myself though. Still give it a 4 out of 5 star rating. I still recommend!
Amazing Seafood Buffet with everything seafood, beef, ribs, plus salads, vegetables, incredible dessert selections. Wonderful ambience, decor, service & food. Would highly recommend. Could also order off the menu as well.
We love this place. This is one of the few places you can still get all you can eat crab legs and they are good. It is all you can eat everything. The desserts are amazing. Don't worry if you don't like seafood, they have ribs, pulled pork, beef, and chicken. It is clean and the servers are great as well. Don't take our word for it, check it out yourself.
I've become skeptical about seafood buffets, however the relatively high price convinced me to check it out thinking you'd be paying for quality (didn't hurt that I got a free $200 card from listening to weird time share people). But eating here only confirmed my skepticism because the food isn't that good. Raw oysters were small, had grit in them and hardly any taste, all desserts were disappointing, salmon tasted like it was either microwaved or boiled...I could go on and on. Service was definitely above average (though they should because they include a 15% gratuity). But just not worth it, even when paying with free money.
