Food is literally 5 star quality. Everyone is super friendly and make you feel at home. Very earthy environment makes you think you're out hunting. Best thing there is there famous fried chicken homemade and their fried and baked walleye fish meal/sandwich. Owners are very friendly and the store is very well kept. Outside patio and lighting are included. Also they have plenty and I mean plenty of alcoholic options for drinks. Bartenders here know their stuff.
We were one of four groups there for dinner and it took about 30 minutes to get our food. The waitress lacked any personality and you could tell she didn't want to be there. When we finally got the food my buffalo wrap was luke warm at best and wife's chicken was over cooked. They at least managed to get my daughter's fried shrimp right though. You can tell their cooks have lost their passion if they even had any. Place is out dated. Would not be surprised if this place ended up on Kitchen Nightmares!
If you are thinking about going here don't! As my wife said, Applebee's would of been a better choice.
Should be zero stars!! Didn't even stay to eat. The waitress was horrible and didn't really speak to us just sat the menus down and gave me a warn drink with no ice. After about a half hour and me reading the reviews for this place we decided to leave and just sit the three dollars dwn for the drink. The manager or cook confronted us and was angry since he had just finished the food I guess and decided to swear at us!!

Ok food, extraordinarily slow service. We waited one full hour to the minute between when we sat down and when the food arrived. I took our 3.5 year old on walks around the shopping center twice to keep him from going crazy. The food was ok, but the walleye sandwich tasted more like breading than fish.
Exceptional food and even better service. Travis our server was very attentive and helpful. When you visit you must try the Chicken Modiga or the Fried Walleye both pair well with the buttered cavatelli pasta side.
This was the worse Resturant I've ever went in my life the service was horrible. There was no costumers in the Resturant and they took forever to bring my food. Right after waiting 30 mins I end up leaving the resturant and the manager comes up to me and ask why are you leaving and what am I suppose to do with this food I told him to throw it away I DO NOT WANT EAT HERE! Service was terrible.
The cook came out and confronted us about a salad that was returned to the kitchen that was as sad a salad I've ever seen! Will definitely never return .Note to staff...be more gracious and accommodating to your guests!
We live in Ellisville, just around the corner and will be back soon. The food and atmosphere were great! We would highly recommend Big Bear Grill.
