Came in for a quick meal and as always so happy with the service and delicious food. Our waitress Dee was so informative with any questions we had on the sushi and super friendly!! Oh and the strawberry passion fruit drink was so delicious!!
Tonight after a long day of work we went in, it was busy per usual so we ask to sit at the bar area. We’ve done this many times and aside from the tricks from the chef the food is always of the same quality and portions are actually usually more. Tonight we were seated, bar was fairly empty (see photo) waitress was extremely slow, food arrived COLD, we didn’t receive any yum yum or ginger sauce so we ask for it, never got it and she never came back. I don’t know about anyone else but for us you don’t eat Benihana without yum yum!!
About 20 minutes later and after asking a bus boy 2x for sauce or waitress we noticed bags and to go containers at the bar (see photo) so we got our own, packed up our food, l cleaned our entire table and stacked the dishes and waited patiently for the waitress to return…it never happened. We noticed a guy dressed in manager attire and he confirmed he was a manager. We told him the situation and ask if he could get our sauces as we would have to microwave our food at home- he did not even offer to remake or heat up. We then ask for our dessert that came with the meal and he brought it out and collected our check. He was very unapologetic and said “she’s the only waitress in the Bar area” but it was nearly empty and she wasn’t around so l don’t know. I gave him a $100 (bill was $95 see pic) he went to the register where l watched him take forever and then returned to the table, laid down a $5 bill and proceeded to walk away, l said excuse me can l have the receipt and he opened the check holder slightly and pulled out the receipt, which still showed unpaid and the check holder was full of money….odd to say the least. We won’t be returning. Horrible, unprofessional experience.
This location is usually pretty full so I recommend making a reservation online before you have a 30 min-hour long wait. I have never had a problem when making a reservation; I am always seated promptly. Victor is my favorite, I have had him a couple of times and he will make your experience fun on top of cooking your food good. I have locations closer to me but I always return here!
Reservation was set for 6:30 ended up being seated at 6:55. The host and table chef were great and super professional. The host was in training but he had a great spirit!
My visit to Benihana was truly enticing, thanks to the captivating hibachi experience. Watching the chef skillfully prepare the dishes right in front of us, showcasing enchanting tricks along the way, added an extra layer of enjoyment to the meal.
The food, including various sushi and spicy shrimp fried rice, was consistently delicious, earning a solid 8 out of 10 rating.
However, there's room for improvement in the customer service department. A quicker turnaround time to have the chef at the table would enhance the overall experience. We waited an hour to be sat down, and then had to wait another 20-30 min to have the chef come to our table.
Despite this, the culinary adventure at Benihana remains a memorable and flavorful journey.
The service was extremely slow. We had a reservation for 8:00pm, but we were not seated until 8:40pm. We then waited 10 minutes before our waiter came to take our order. Now, it’s 9.30, we are not received our food yet.
The restaurant was not very busy, so there was no excuse for the long wait. We were very disappointed with the service and would not recommend this restaurant to others.
When I can get my dinner…?
Update; After 1h30 if waiting time, finally I’m give up! Leave here without dinner.
P.S. Restroom is just ridiculous.
Dee, was our server tonight she was very attentive and ready to answer any questions food related we had. Our diner tonight was very easy going, enjoyable. The food was very good too. My only concern: no matter where you may sit someone n from the hostess desk should guide per patrons not just hand them the menu and go back to what ever non essential they were doing before they(he) was approached.
Had a fun time with kids, the food was good and the service was good. Our chef was on the mellow side compared to the tables around us but he was still entertaining.
