It pains me to give 1 star to this location. If you have hours of operation, consistent and proper service should be maintained the entire time that the establishment is open. We placed a carry out order an hour and a half before their closing time. I arrived at the appointed time and the pick up area that I was directed to, at the bar, was totally trashed. I waited 15 additional minutes for my food once I got there and was told that it was being boxed and bagged up. The bartender was apologetic because he too realized that I had been waiting for quite awhile. Once the bag came, it was presented nicely, folded and stapled. I paid for my order and even tipped the server that waited on me. Unfortunately for me, I assumed that the “extra wait time” ensured that my food was freshly prepared and that everything was OK. How wrong was I!!! Not only was one of my burgers burnt up, but the other burger clearly had been bitten. Who and how could any establishment serve food like this??!! Do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY from this place!
Michael was my server/bartender i loved him!! I definitely will be back soon, the food & drinks were so good, but his service and patience made my first time coming to Bar Louie even better! Thank you for helping me with nice drink suggestions and food. 10/10????????
Girls night out, we had a wonderful time. The food was excellent and the serving sizes and quality were equally matched. The service was on point. As a customer service representative for years and event specialist, one of the first things I look for is how am I greeted, and whether the atmosphere is warm and inviting. We were welcomed with smiles and kind Service that lasted throughout the night. Great atmosphere, staff and mangers were all pleasant.
I loved that it was spacious and you had privacy if you wanted but still connected to the entire space. Handicap accessible, always a plus ensuring that tables and entry ways are accessible and available. Free parking in the parking deck. Definitely recommend this location. Very laid back, great crowd.
My wife and I did a date night here and it was a very nice atmosphere. Laid back, servers are nice. Our bar tender was very attentive. They could have done more to direct us somewhere to sit when we walked in, but that's forgiveable. We started at the bar and migrated out to patio. There isn't a good system in place for when you do something like that but our bar tender did the best he could.
Thay have a corn hole game out on the patio which was really nice. The drinks were more pricey than I like but I'm not upset about that.
We had Chicken Nacho appetizer
Wife got a club sandwich/BURGER and a Cesar Salad
I settled on Salmon, potatos and asparagus.
It's not a lot of food so you prob won't be taking much home. But I'm sure that's by design. All of it was very good and we will def be back.
I got the honey/hot chicken sandwich. Really enjoyed it. Also can’t go wrong with Tots. I give the sandwich a solid 9.6 out of 10.
Tried yesterday and waited 15 minutes after being seated for someone to take a drink order. Walked out after that. Stopped in tonight to try again. Sat at bar and had an okay wait.for a drink. Ordered the blackened shrimp and salmon with asparagus. When it came out 25 minutes later there as a very sad excuse for asparagus on my plate. The salmon was cooked decent but I ordered this because it came with veggies. But they were not edible. I complained to manager and got $5 off but waitress told me they always look like that.
Came here for lunch and day time fun/ drinks. I like Bar Louie , drink options are plenty and I like a bar atmosphere. Diamond was great, and attentive. I ordered bone in wings the dry rub and Bourbon BBQ. The martini of the month or week was “EFFEN GOOD” which was a Cucumber one that was really refreshing.
For meals we ordered Voodoo Pasta and Deep South Mac & Cheese
The food here is pretty great and it's one of the few places with decent dinner options past 10pm. There is a limited menu from 10pm-12am, but there were plenty of interesting things on it. Tonight we had drinks and dinner - he the old fashioned, I the ginger pineapple cooler which is alcohol free and delicious. We then had the wings with the signature spicy dry rub and buffalo sauce on the side - these wings are spiced really well, crispy, fresh and delicious. We also had the fried pickles which are really perfect - not too tiny, perfectly crispy with a smoky dipping sauce. Yum! He had the breakfast burger without the egg, and I had the fried chicken sandwich. He reported that the burger wasn't bad but not great - a little on the dry side without the egg and not enough seasoning on the meat. My chicken sandwich was AWESOME however, and I highly recommend it. Real chicken breast fried perfectly with this amazing hot honey sauce, pickles and perfect tots. I really loved this sandwich, and hubby did too. Juicy, spicy, crave-able.
The reason for 1 less star was that the service was a little weird - we kind of had our wings and fried pickles for "dessert" - they came out way after our sandwiches came. Probably just a mix-up in the kitchen, not a big deal, but it was a little off. Our waiter was very nice, maybe he had a long day. Also, though the food was really tasty and cooked well, everything was just a tad bit over-salted.
I'm sure we'll return lots - great location, open late, good food.
