Very good food
The coffee was awesome
And The staff very helpful and friendly.
I did send the hash browns back as they were still fridge cool and not a single bit was crispy.
The 3 meat omelet was packed with ham, sausage and bacon very good. So we're the Belgium waffles ????
My wife and I wanted barbecue, so we drove down to Harrisburg to the Bar-B-Q Barn. This is a quaint rustic place, as you will see in the photos. My wife ordered a smoked turkey sandwich. Unfortunately, it was just average. It was more like sliced lunch meat and didn't have much smoke flavor to it. But she said it was average. I ordered a rib platter, Kicking Ribs, I believe they called it. They were barbecue ribs with some hot sauce on them. I really enjoyed the ribs. They are some good ribs, black on top, just like blackened ends, and the French fries were crispy outside and soft in the middle and spiced just right. The baked beans I had were the best baked beans I've had in a barbecue joint in a long time. Still, not up to my standards, but they were quite a bit better than any place in a while. Our server was friendly with a smile and very helpful. Answered all our questions. As I said, the atmosphere is very rustic. Appropriate for a barbecue place.
Almost forgot to mention the Cream Horns: they are to die for.
Always great BBQ here. Crispy fries, the meat really doesn’t even need a sauce but I absolutely love their Sweet Hickory sauce! One of my wife’s favorite salad. Always fresh and flavorful! The BBQ turkey adds the perfect addition.
Terrible service. No indication it is self seating. Nobody is friendly and willing to convey how the restaurant works. Once seated the girls will pretend you aren't there for 10 minutes, only to then say someone (never showed) will be with you in a moment. Not sure on the food as I left, but I'd never return based on this one experience.
Great stop for tasty food and friendly service! The cream horns are a must (take some to go)! Definitely looking forward to my next journey to stop for great food!
