Best WLM Reviews
12 per dish? Great value. Personally taro dish isn't that great unless you like taro. Everything else is great, Banh Khot is crispy. Fried chicken is very crispy and even more flavorful inside. Fried rice is amazing! And I'm not easily impressed by fried rices!
Update: Round 2 - passion fruit drink is good, the chicken was not overly fried this time and the flavor was even more excellent. Fried rice and banh khot are FIRE. Lots of viet cliente, this place is authentic/legit!!!
Tiny quaint restaurant. Service is slow, and there was a bit of a wait. They were really nice but customer service isn't their forte. They accept credit card, Zelle and cash. Only 5 items on their menu, and we ordered one of each dish (except not the fried rice with shrimp). It was good but didn't exceed my expectations. I did really like their fried chicken wings- yes they were tiny but delicious! And the sauce was good too! The banh khot was nice and crispy, but done differently than what I was used to. I prefer more filling and it was just okay in my honest opinion... I loved the bot chien, though! It’s a must.. there was purple potato/yam? In it… And they also have papaya salad with our meal.
10:12 am Sun/8 Oct. They give tons of fresh veggies and the (in-house?) ground chili they provide to add to the fish sauce is nice. Small menu so easy to decide what to order.
Of the various hole in the walls, this restaurant specializes in what's in the title, Banh Khot. The Bánh Khot was crispy and delicious. It definitely was crowded and the food came out fairly fast. Will come again to try the other dishes and hopefully get a table pretty quickly.
Banh khot was delicious. We ordered banh khot, fried rice, egg noodle wonton and bot chien. The food was delicious but service is slow. Be prepared to wait. Small family restaurant with limited seating. Will definitely come back.
This is as authentic as Vietnam, with the taste of the country and the freshness of California vegetables- it's perfect!! Banh Khot is always a crispy favorite of mine- wrap the fried coins in a piece of lettuce and fresh leaves, and take it for a dip in the fish sauce... mmm crunch crunch...So fresh and so good. Vietnamese cuisine is underrated in my opinion and hole in the wall is fantastic!
One of my favorite Vietnamese dishes and this place does it best. Quality banh khot with a fresh variety of greens and the perfect nuoc mam sauce. They fry it perfectly so it comes with a great crust. Textures are on point when you add the greens and create a lil wrap for yourself. Take it to go as they package it really nicely and the khot weren’t soggy
A must if you are in the area!
Being a bánh khọt enthusiast, I have had bánh khọt from numerous places including from Vũng Tàu (bánh khọt gốc vú sữa), in Vietnam and it was the best.
This place is, in my opinion is comparable if not better than banh khốt from Vũng Tầu. If you love bánh khọt and are in the area you have got to check it out!
We will be back every time we are down here.
