Best WLM Reviews

If you’re looking for a decent and vibey contemporary Japanese restaurant in the Valley, look no further than Zoku’s in Tracy. They’re located quite conveniently in Gateway Plaza off of 11th and Corral Hollow — and I’ve always wanted to try this place, until last night. The vibe in this place is immaculate, and I thought I’d share my experience on this particular restaurant:
The food in this restaurant is not only exquisite, but it was also very rich in flavor and in texture as well. We ordered an udon (mind you, tempura was seven dollars each so I was taken a bit aback by that), but I was thoroughly impressed with the batter and how deep fried they made it. Talk about hot sake in a Japanese restaurant — I think that was a first that I’ve seen (at least in the many years that I was legally able to drink).
We also ordered some rolls as well — specifically, the spicy crab roll and the avocado mango roll. Both were absolutely rich in flavor, I just love how many sushi rolls there were named after Tracy, which you have got to give a try — they’re a must at this restaurant!
The service and hospitality started off a little awkward — however, the lead server came up and took care of us and make sure that our needs were met. I absolutely appreciate the patronizing and exquisite service.
The atmosphere was expansive, and it was open seating, although I wish other patents would be more considerate of the people around them because we were a little bit annoyed at them. Not bad saying, but just be on the lookout for obnoxious people at those sushi bar sometimes.
Overall, I would come back again and try more of their food!
I enjoyed the pleasant ambience of the sushi restaurant. While the sushi I ordered didn't quite meet my expectations, the udon was surprisingly delicious, making it a noteworthy alternative for those looking beyond sushi options.
Loved this place.
My husband enjoyed the freshwater eel and the sashimi 7 peice. He normally never eats salmon but he said he enjoyed it this time.
I had a Philly roll. This was my first time trying it with onions and capers. I enjoyed it.
The second roll i can't remember the name but it was a roll i was suggested to try because its one of their more popular ones. It was great!!
I enjoyed the restaurant.
They have a bar with plenty choices. No mixed drinks, just shots, maybe it will change.
Definitely my new go-to.
Fun place to eat. The guys behind the counter making sushi are nice and fun to watch. The food was very good. This is my new place to eat. The scallop roll as well as the shrimp ceviche are extremely good.
There is a new sushi king in town. The fish is fresh. The food is amazing. Had the sashimi that came with big thick slices. Excellent. The rolls were amazing. Definitely coming back to get the chef special.
Ordered 2 drinks and 2 appetizers total $78
Drinks came out after the appetizers.
Calamari and chicken over fried and oily. I don’t think they change the oil. Decided to eat at Mikasa instead for dinner. First time their and it will be my last.
Great food and ambience. Chef Albert and staff were professional and friendly. We ordered a wide variety for our first time and were very impressed with the quality, presentation and taste. Will definitely return.
We hadn’t ever been here before. It’s easily on par with Kengo and mikasa. I like the environment of this restaurant better. Much more open than mikasa ans bigger than Kengo. Has a modern urban vibe to it. We ordered three rolls. All of them were good. The mango roll was especially good. The service was a little slow but I wasn’t in a hurry so that was ok.
