Great food , delicious, authentic , prices are ok. Place is nice too. Only downside is that water is not served unless asked for which is unusual for middle eastern restaurants given the hospitality nature of such places.
After we were sat down, it took a while for the service to come take our order. It was Saturday night so it was busy and I can understand the wait, but when we had made up our minds about what we wanted (couple of appetizers and couple of mains, to share) the waiter very rudely told us that we needed to order more because the concept of the restaurant was either 3 starters or a main and a starter per person. We told him that this hadn’t been explained to us nor was it written anywhere in the menu. We would’ve been happy to order more if it hadn’t been for the very very rude attitude of the waiter. If the place is busy and they’re understaffed it sucks for sure, but don’t take it out on other clients.
Authentic Syrian food, everything tastes like you are in a restaurant in the middle of Damascus.

Great, flavourful food. We didn't try the main courses as they have plenty of mezze options. We would recommend 3 dishes per person. Wine was also good. Service was also nothing to remark on. If you come early, you can get a table without reservation, otherwise strongly recommended. I would say as good as Fattoush in the same street. So a welcome addition to Ghent!
Excellent food, friendly service but too slow, they need more staff! But...it's worth it for the food!

For main course we've had the Marina Lahme and the Lamskoteletten and they were both delicious as well. The meat was very well cooked and seasoned.
The wines were also great. I've had a delicious rosé "La croix belle" and the red wine "Quinta do Gradil" was also delicious. I definitely recommend it!
Authentic Syrian food; the crunch of the pastry (sambousek) and the warm cheese inside, the sweet and earthy muhammara, and the tender mouth-watering kebab and chicken shish….it was like being teleported to Damascus. And the service was just on point, warm, welcoming, and fast.
It was very delicious and the place is nicely decorated with a cozy feeling.
It’s important to note that portion sizes are a bit small. However if you order a Mezze (or more to share with others) it’s a good amount of food to make you full. And it’s worth it! The Fatteh was my favourite. The spinach and minced meat sambouse were also perfect.
For main course the meat dishes were well seasoned and the rice was fluffy and aromatic.
As for desert: Baklava is good but I wished there were more options.
