You can't sing its praises enough from the moment you enter the door you feel like you got transported somewhere else
Then the staff treats you great if you're a repeat customer. Most likely, you will either be greeted or leave with a hug from Ernesto, who will make you quite possibly the best drinks you've ever had. The food is always more amazing. The words can do it justice, as my friend said (and this goes for the drinks to). You can point to anything on the menu and be happy.

We stopped in around 8pm after an event in downtown for a late dinner. The greeting was cold and confusing at the door.
We were seated to a very dark corner and it took a few minutes to get the little lamp. The dining room was fine and I liked the upscale vibe but was bothered by the music videos playing on the televisions screens—some were not family friendly by any means.
The chips were fine, but the salsa was served warm/hot and tasted like marinara sauce. ????
The limited menu is on the pricier end for the Fox Valley. We don’t mind paying what they were asking for some of these dishes, however, my skirt steak burritos tasted just as good as the other Mexican places in town, for $5-7 more.
Service was fine, but I’m most angry that on top of my $22 steak burritos, I was charged $5 FOR LETTUCE AND TOMATO on the side. Absurd. ???????? The chicken burritos next to the steak ones on the menu had lettuce and tomato listed coming with it, and I like the freshness with my Mexican food. I asked for lettuce and tomato with mine and the server said “of course, on the side?” Yes. Didn’t find out it’s the greatest up-charge (rip-off) I’ve ever experienced until the check came. Just insult to the injury that was the tiniest little dollop of sour cream on top. ????
So, dinner was good, but not $28 good. Glad I didn’t order a drink—my pockets would’ve been emptied for the weekend.
Went on Sunday night for a birthday celebration wonderful service spectacular drinks recommend the House Margaritas all the food was wonderful only one of us snapped a picture Salmon dish off the regular menu she loved it!
The margaritas, food, and atmosphere are amazing. I’ve been here twice now and they’ve not missed. The only complaint is the prices are noticeably higher than other competing Mexican restaurants. Our tab for two with one margarita each pushed $100 which makes this a bit of splurge unfortunately.
Omg, where do I start!? EVERYTHING was sublime from the minute we stepped in the door. Ernesto gave us a detailed description of the menu with beautiful pictures. Our server Manny provided exceptional service and was so sweet and friendly. The drinks were amazing. I LOVED the Chipotle Margarita rimmed with Tajin. We each had a different entree and each one tasted magnificent as well as being visually stunning. Cannot wait to come back!
Let me start off with if your in a rush this isn’t the place to go. But if you want the best meal you have ever had, this is the place to be. I have spent many years in the military and traveled all over the world and may have had my best meal ever here. We did sit at the bar which has a limited menu but none the less it was still amazing. Ernesto, our bartender walked us through everything. We tried 4 different Margarita’s (all of which are infused and on the rocks). They did not disappoint. We followed it up with oysters in the shell. For the entree we had Grouper, shrimp, octopus, on rice and grilled in pineapple halves. If your looking for a great date night, give them a call, reserve a spot (as with any place right now they are running short staffed) and get here as soon as you can!!! If I could give more stars I would!
I group of us stopped there and it was pretty slow, so not sure why it took about 20 minutes to get our drinks. I noticed they had some Adictivo Tequila that cost around $60 a bottle at Festival Foods so I ordered a shot, and it was a generous poor. When the bill came, they charged $25 for one shot? I hate to think what Azul would cost but that was extremely overpriced.
Excellent food, superior service. Drinks are phenomenal. If you haven't tried it yet, do it. High end authentic Mexican cuisine.
