Food was amazing. Curry Goat tastes so good! Rice and peas is always moist and nice and the oxtails are succulent. Very humble and great owner; I will definitely recommend. Tried their food one year after knowing it was open and I did not regret it. Never hit or miss.
My husband and I were in the area, and craving Jamaican food for dinner. We came across this nice, family-owned restaurant. The food and service did not disappoint! We ordered the oxtail, and curry goat plates. Both were fresh, flavorful, and delicious. We highly recommend this establishment.
Yard Vybz is the best Jamaican restaurant I have eaten. The curry goat reminded me of my childhood food, and the oxtail was succulent, juicy, and filled with a ton of flavor. Also, the drinks they have were phenomenal. Overall, I would highly recommend the food here. It was the best Jamaican food I had in my life.
Guy was really nice. Ended up getting the stewed pork I believe. Things seemed hot and fresh when I started eating, but the pork was still almost too hot to eat even after like 10 minutes. I’ve never experienced that before. Maybe it was reheated? And so was the rice, just super hot, not the temperature you’d get from being in a rice cooker or warming tray.
Some of the pork pieces were nice and tender, but just as many were pretty hard and dried out. The rice and peas got oxtail gravy without having to ask which is a nice touch. Macaroni salad was pretty good, plantains were a little hard but that happens at most places.
Overall it was ok, but the problem is for that price, over $19 including tax for a couple of chunks of meat and some rice, it better be really on point. I get that prices have gone up everywhere etc, but the fact that I was left wondering if it was microwaved etc, didn’t make me feel like I was getting the best possible quality for that amount of money.
For those prices, I don’t think I would go back.
Has the opportunity to eat here on Day of my PCB trip. Wow wow and wow. Service and customer service are at the best. The food was delicious as you can see from the pictures - nice and hot. Charles the owner is kind and comes out to have conversation. Amazing ….. vegetables are fresh and don’t forget to grab your snacks.
My friends and I were craving some Jamaican food, and we came across this place. The food was absolutely amazing. I got the oxtail and mac & cheese and highly recommend both!
This food was so yummy! My husband and I love to try local owned restaurants on vacation. This was one of our new stops. We went later at night and he was sold out of a few things, but oxtail is my favorite anyway. This oxtail was delicious and the BBQ chicken was very tasty as well. The sauce was sweet and savory. The sides paired well with the main dishes. I hate this place was sold out of johnny cakes, we love those. We also bought seasonings and snacks we are excited to try. We will be back on our next vacation to pcb for sure!
Found it by accident, best find on my trip. Authentic and fresh Jamaican food. It was so good I ate it at the counter while chatting with the owner????????????♀️???????? looking forward to the next visit to eat lunch or perhaps dinner. Today I had our National dish ackee and salt fish with steamed cabbage and fried dumpling. Shelves were well stocked with groceries as well.
