Popped in for. Late lunch. The restaurant was somewhat busy, no space at the bar but we found a table right away.
They had an impressive beer list as well as a full bar. Our water promptly showed up at our table and cheerfully took our drink orders.
In addition to the regular menu they had a special side menu which we took advantage of and got some pickle fries and spicy cheese balls.
The apps came out fast and hot.
While enjoying our appetizers, we put on for an olive burger and a Ruben sandwich, both of which were delicious.
All in all, while off the beaten path, Yankee Bill’s is well worth a visit.
September 2023, my wife and I stopped in for dinner. Plenty of parking and seating upon arrival. The Michigan Mule was a great drink to start off with the mozzarella balls. The pulled pork sandwich was ok, could of done away with the cheese and the fried bluegill was tasty. The batter was not to thick and the slaw was excellent. Service was great. A nice open atmosphere and we will be back during the warmer months to check out the patio and music!
Wait time for food is hit or miss. Sometimes fast, sometimes you watch people come in after you and get their food before you. Everything is delicious. My only two nit packs would be that for $15 you don't get much dip for the Santa Fe Dip and the wet burrito has a lot of refried beans that make it dry. If you add some of that sauce on top in the beans I bet it'd be amazing!
Love this place. HIGHLY recommend!
The food is low average.
The service tends to be fairly good.
Regrettably the economy is poor. At best.
It's not a bad place for food if you happen to be in the area but not someplace to go out of the way for.
The bartender was very attentive. It is very clean, we are here on 9/17/23, which is a Sunday. To start with marsala mushroom dip with pita chips is yummy.... if you are trying to hold back on the salt, ask them not to put salt on the pita chips. For dinner, the crab 14-inch pizza. It was wonderful. I had this pizza at other places and it is by far the best crab pizza around. For the two of us this evening, there are four pieces of pizza left. We can't wait to eat it cold it is going to be so good I bet!
First time here. Great atmosphere. What a gem of a place! Our server, Ruby, was very friendly and answered questions with a smile. Husband started out with an appetizer of Hot cheese balls with a ranch dip which was good. He then ordered cowboy pasta for his entree. Wow!! It was a huge portion and had lots to take home. Very flavorful. I ordered the house burger, cooked to perfection. Ruby recommended house made chips and in house made dip as my side. The dip was amazing! Meats are local. Lots of different drinks to choose from. Something for everyone. Kids menu too. We will definitely be back for their wood fired pizza.
I've been here a few times now. Everything I've tried so far is really good! One of my favorite things is their Mexican street corn salad. They also have a large selection of drinks and cocktails. The prices are very reasonable (actually on the cheaper side compared to a lot of places, which is appreciated!) and the service has been great every time we go, no matter how packed the place is. This is one of my favorite restaurants in Hastings.
Looking for a place to go on a afternoon while my husband disc golfs
My daughter and I loved the food
Ruby was great
Marsala Mushroom madness
Was my favorite!
The blue gill was great and lots of pieces
The apple dessert was great had to try that
Our complaints would be my daughter's BLT was expensive and the bacon was over done and burnt
Not a lot of healthy options on the kid menu
She doesn't eat big portions or a lot of processed or fried stuff, limited
& By her own preferences
Sandwiches does not come with fries, and I wish the server would of reminded us of that bc the menu is large and can overwhelming for ADHD brain with all the good stuff
I would of appreciated the save in money giving it was for a kid and she had no avacado or cheese on her sandwich.
