Best WLM Reviews
It was terrible. The veggies were basically raw, the pad Thai was pink and the noodles were undercooked. No peanuts, no bean sprouts, but cabbage. The chicken and the beef were chewy. It is rare that I think a meal is this bad. Look at the sauce on the side we got. Won't be back!
I would rate the atmosphere and food a 0 of I could. We used to love this place before they switched owners. We gave them one more chance last night and it's was still so disappointing. We ordered the almond chicken and chicken fried rice. The almond chicken had improved from the last time we ordered, but it was mostly batter and the almond gravy was clear and just not like any other place I've ordered from. The fried rice was also very odd and tasteless. It had boiled flavorless chicken and no vegetables. Just brown rice, boiled chicken and scrambled egg. The atmosphere was really ran down and gross. The smell was the worst part. I cant imagine how bad the kitchen must look. The location is perfect, right across the street I could walk there. However, this was the last chance. I'll never go back.
I just moved back to town after almost ten years and was excited to get some shrimp fried rice like I used to from here. Pretty sure it's under new ownership because the food was just terrible. Also was expecting to see the welcoming owner but got some stoic lady whose only words were to sign the card sheet. The rice was hard, the only ingredients were about two eggs in giant chunks taking up most of the space in the pint. No veggies or sprouts, nothing. Essentially just two eggs a few pieces of shrimp and hard rice. Even the worst Chinese places just pile on onions if they're going to be cheap about ingredients, this is just a place that's not even trying whilst shaving every cost they can. Really sad to see the state of things now. I don't talk places up but Wonton was a go-to back in the day, it's the polar opposite now
I am a long time customer of over eight years. It has been about 4 months since my last visit until today and I'm sorry to say that changes have been made. The food here as always been amazing until the owner Jenny retired. My Sesame Chicken was absolutely terrible tonight the chicken was overcooked and extremely dry. I was hoping the fried rice would make up for the chicken but that was even worse than the chicken. They have changed the rice whatever they did is absolutely disgusting it was flavorless even soaked in soy sauce. I couldn't eat it the rice used to have veggies and bits of chicken and egg. None of those things are to be found now and the rice is imo inedible
not recommended. The best thing to order imo is that almond chicken and crab rangoons although they are not as good as the used to be. Dine at your own risk I wish you better luck than I had.
This place used to be the talk of this side of Waterford 10 years ago, now the food tastes like rubber. Chicken was dry, rice tasted like it was burnt in a rubber tire, and the sauce for the chicken had zero flavor. Just looked like grease in a bowl (we asked for it on the side). I’m sad it’s come down so far.
Wonderful wonderful food here. This is by far my favorite restaurant for Chinese cuisine, and just a favorite in general. The portions here are gigantic, so amazingly priced, and the food is always fresh.
I have been coming here since opening and have never had an issue with old, or bad food. I like to look over the menu and try new things often too, all of it has been wonderful. Jenny is always super kind too, she is always happy to answer all my questions about each dish before I order if I ever have any.
She has even been kind enough to make my favorite dish still even though it has been taken off the menu. I'll share a picture of it because of how amazing it was and looked, this dish is her home made noodles - yes that's right, she makes the noodles for this one fresh even. You gotta call in advance for these though. That is the kind of dedication that is put into the food here. I had some green onion, chicken, shrimp, and other vegetables put into it, but here you are always able to customize orders to your liking and will not be missing out on size!
TL;DR Amazing food, HUGE portion, tiny prices, always super fresh and always amazingly tasty food.
Usually good but I guess it’s either a hit or miss, this time a miss. Rice taste unflavored and undercooked. Chicken is Dry and hard like chicken jerky. The crab Rangoons are usually good but as of right now, they’re too
under cooked!!
When I went to pick my food up it was freezing cold inside the restaurant. I got my food home and it was also cold. This place used to be a great place I'm not sure what happened but I would not recommend it and I'm never going back.
