Best WLM Reviews
I recently had a disappointing experience at the Wingtips Lounge in St. Louis Airport Terminal. Despite its potential to offer a serene and comfortable space for travelers, the reality fell far short of expectations. The lounge was uncomfortably overcrowded, making it difficult to find a place to sit or relax in peace. This overcrowding issue is exacerbated by the fact that both Priority Pass and Business Class passengers share this lounge, creating a space that feels more like a busy bus station than an exclusive lounge.
Moreover, the quality of the food offered was underwhelming. The options were not only limited but also lacked the freshness and taste one would expect from an airport lounge catering to business travelers. It's disappointing when the food becomes a detractor from the lounge experience rather than a highlight.
Additionally, the service and cleanliness standards were not up to par. In a setting where cleanliness and attentive service should be a given, finding both lacking significantly detracts from the overall experience. It's unsettling to navigate through a space that doesn't meet basic hygiene standards, especially in an environment as intimate as an airport lounge.
In summary, my visit to the Wingtips Lounge was far from the premium experience advertised. Between the overcrowding, subpar food, and lack of cleanliness and service, it's clear that there's a significant gap between what is promised and what is delivered. This lounge could benefit greatly from addressing these key areas to improve the experience for all guests.
Additionally, it's disappointing to see Lufthansa's standards slip to the point where Business Class passengers are subjected to such conditions. As a carrier known for its quality and service, it's surprising and disheartening that Lufthansa would align with a lounge that fails to meet the expectations of its Business Class travelers. The experience in the Wingtips Lounge does not reflect the premium service and attention to detail that Lufthansa's Business Class passengers expect and deserve. This significant oversight in ensuring the quality of partner lounges reflects poorly on Lufthansa's commitment to providing an exceptional travel experience. It's imperative for Lufthansa to reassess this partnership or take measures to improve the situation, as it currently stands as a sore point for travelers choosing to fly Business Class with the airline.
Visited this location while I was waiting for a flight. It was busy on a Wednesday morning. Staff is friendly and professional. It is bright and clean inside. Not much of a selection of food for breakfast. Plenty of seats to sit and charge your devices. If I did not have priority pass, I would not pay to visit this lounge. Should be bigger for the size of the airport.
Thanks Kayla for making my short stay nice!
It’s not a large lounge but they replenished the food, snacks and fruit. They have salad, small sandwiches, fruit, coffee, specialty coffee machine and a bar.
The food is average for a lounge. Not a lot of choice. The beverage machine was down but the bartenders were nice and kind and provided soda. Some drinks have a cost, beer is free and some liquor.
There is a nice view.
While travelers are messy the attendant did well on picking up used items to make seating available. They could use another staff to help with cleaning.
If this place was full, it would be a tight fit. But we only had about 30% full so it was nice.
So high marks for the staff. It could use some improvement on food quality and diversity.
Went there while waiting for a flight. The selection of food is horrible. 2 inch square turkey sliders , sliced cherry tomatoes , salad , stale potato chips, mushy store bought chocolate chip cookies, and some kind of soup. Even though I was there from 4 to 6 pm, a typical meal time, nothing changed. The wine was good. One bullet bourbon and crown royal were the only bourbon and Whiskey options. Very short staffed. Bartender had to keep going to the reception desk to check people in and to refresh the food line.
Average lounge, but appreciated! Nice and quiet, but a bit bare-bones. Staff interaction was good - pleasant and quick to help. Standard well drinks are free - as expected - but the provided food is mediocre. Some dry ham sandwiches, a little salad, and a couple cookies. The coffee machine was also broken, which was a bummer. Seating is good though - plenty of it, almost all with US-style plugs and USB-A plugs, and a variety of options for groups from 1-4 people. Overall, not worth going out of your way for (like I was flying Delta in the other terminal), but a decent refuge from the airport hustle and bustle.
Nice to get out of the general terminal area, but not the best lounge. The staff are nice but the food is basically salad and small sandwiches. The sandwiches ran out quick and were never restocked in the hour that I was there. There is no changing table in the bathroom.
This is a cramped space that quickly reaches capacity, at which point it hardly feels different from the rest of the terminal.
During my visit, the only open seat was next to a loose power outlet that charged my phone only a few seconds at a time.
The "buffet" is a bad joke. I hear it gets better during the brief times when the lounge is open only to Lufthansa customers. Nonetheless the private bathrooms, water/soda fountain, reasonably fast wifi, and friendly bartender are redeeming qualities.
A nice spot in the airport for layovers or early arrival. It’s $40 to snack and drink as you please with wifi, comfy seats, and nice bathrooms just for the lounge. They also have membership options for the year or I believe she said it’s included available to American Express holders but I’m not 100% sure anyways the service was great the lounge was cute and clean. I would get the membership if I lived in the area or visited this airport more often I do wish they had more of these in other airports like this one that’s not specific for a credit card holder or other requirements.
