Wanted to find a good place to watch sports while dining. This is definitely a great place for that. I ordered a cup of turkey wild rice soup and was surprised to get a huge bowl, that they call a cup. It was so delicious and filling I could have had that for my meal. The service was spectacular. Several staff members checked on us throughout our meal. Great view of Twins and Vikings side by side so we could watch both.
We will definitely go back there again.
The menu was so promising but the food was subpar at best. We stopped and the place was relatively empty, but then again it was a Monday after noon. Place was clean and well decorated. We were greeted immediately and seated. We started with the cheese curds. They were crispy and salty delicious. The house made was ranch was the star of the entire meal. The marinara tasted like regular canned marinara. We tried the cheese curd burger. This is supposed to be fresh ground burger topped with ham Swiss and white cheddar cheese curds with garlic aioli. The burger tasted like your standard frozen burger lacking any seasoning. We also had to ask for the garlic aioli since it wasn’t put on. The aioli was okayish. We also tried the prime rib cheese steak. This is prime rib topped with jalapeño cream cheese and havarti roasted red peppers on a hoagie. Again lacked seasoning, hardly any havarti and when discussing it on the way home realized there was no jalapeño cream cheese. The fries were cooked nicely with a great crisp. The Willy T’s Tots were not for us. Flavor was drowned out by onions. The service was a tad slow for only a few customers but the server checked in periodically. Really sad I thought we had a new fun restaurant to go to when at the cabin.
Food was amazing, and service was awesome. We both got the Salmon Oscar for there new years special and it was sooo good. Food did not take long to come out for how busy it got around dinner hours. Will definitely be coming back to this place again. Price is decent, you definitely get what you pay for and maybe even more!!
It looks like a nicer place. The service is unbelievably slow. I waited quite a long time before I was seated. It was a clue I missed. There were only 3 tables seated, so it was a light number. I was seated and waited for a super long time before I the waitress took my order. My glass remained empty except for once, and my food wasn't great. The beans were good, the bun was almost stale, and the steak was done medium, but rubbery. Have I mentioned how slow the service was? Two waitresses, 5 tables, and minimum 10 minute gaps between them coming out of the back. I ordered cheesecake, and asked for it right away. After I ordered it, I finished my entire meal and sat for minutes before it came. I ate it, and sat for many minutes before I saw the waitress for my check.
The service was incredibly slow.
I’ve been here a few times and love the atmosphere and the food is amazing but the service I received tonight was just sad. My sister and I sat for nearly an hour and not one person came to help us. I couldn’t believe it. I understand how busy the staff get but you have to make sure each table is taken care of within a reasonable time.
If it was me, I’d do my best to at least make sure everyone has their drinks and apologize for the wait. It’s just unfortunate :/
The first time I ever ate at Willy's, I was there for the Big Ole Roundup we made a reservation to eat and got service right away It was a little busy under the circumstances but, the food was good and the service was as well.
I almost never write reviews, but I was in Alexandria for a volleyball tournament and we chose to come eat here for supper the night before. Our waiter was super nice, and the atmosphere was great. The inside looked beautiful, but the food was by far the worst food I have ever had from a restaurant. We ordered the spaghetti and meatballs. They had no taste, and the meatballs were so hard we could not cut them with a knife. We had the shrimp stir fry and it was rubbery and did not have a good flavor. I had the sirloin steak and it was overcooked and rubbery. So disappointed we didn’t eat much of it. We didn’t tell them either that it was not good we just paid and left I would not recommend this place for food.
Very disappointed in the service that I received. A friend and I went on a busier night which I totally understand that the servers get busy. However, we waited for 45 minutes and didn’t even get offered a glass of water. Another couple that got to the restaurant after us was served with their refreshments and food. Multiple servers walked past us frequently and didn’t even stop to ask us if we wanted a drink or if we were ready to order. My friend and I simply wanted a bowl of soup. Eventually, after about almost a hour of waiting, we left. Very disappointed.
