Best WLM Reviews
Love this place, and come back every few weeks. Such a small town feeling. The servers are friendly, sevice is quick and good is tasty (love their chicken and waffle). Overall such a good feeling.
Little gem in the heart of Elgin. Great food at a reasonable price. The place is updated but homey, I like the old school diner style they have. Definitely recommend the country fried steak and the Ribeye. Only complaint is coffee is a bit watered down
The food was pretty good, and the prices were even better than expected! We ordered 3 meals with drinks and paid $36! Restaurants don't usually have prices like that...anymore. The parking was a little confusing. The lots have tow zones, and the restaurant doesn't have a parking lot, so we parked across the street in a parking lot. There was some street parking as well. Also, the place was super cute and we enjoyed conversing with the very friendly staff!
My husband and I grew up around here and are so happy to see this place doing so well. Their food is always great and the staff is always wonderful towards our kids, the prices cannot be beat either. Compliments to the chef and many years of success to them!
Very nice diner. I had the skirt steak skillet. The steak was seasoned perfectly! The waitress was very nice, she kept coming by with coffee. This used to be Kendall's Kountry kitchen. The cook who worked for Kendall's for 30 years bought the place! So you're going to get the same delicious food! Willy the now owner came out of the kitchen to greet us patrons. His wife Grace is lovely. I highly recommend this diner! You won't be disappointed!
Food, and service a definite ten ⭐
This is what a diner should be! large portions, good value, very friendly service & awesome atmosphere
Great little diner. First time there. Will be back. Friendly staff, great food.
Great atmosphere, fast service, food is delicious. Family is welcoming.
The Pork tenderloin & the baked chicken has been my all time favorites from when the restaurant was under “Kendall’s Kountry Kitchen”. Chef Willy you are doing a great job! It is still my favorite dishes on the menu, 25 years later. Authentic taste!

You make no sense at all. I’ve been coming to the restaurant during all name changes and Chef Willy was the one cooking through all the name changes. Name changes to “buildings” doe not change the quality of food when the cook has been the same all these years.
I’m sorry but you might have lost your taste buds hun. That was an exaggeration “worst food ever”
???? It’s your taste buds
