Quick Facts About Unity african hair braiding

Unity African Hair Braiding Place, based on the comments provided, has both strengths and weaknesses.
One of the strengths of Unity African Hair Braiding Place mentioned in the comments is the quality of the hairstylists. Commenters express satisfaction with the outcome of their hair, praising the braids and crochet installs. Kane, in particular, is mentioned as providing amazing box braids. Koniba is also highlighted for being fast, professional, and reasonable in pricing. Customers appreciate the expertise and skill of the hairstylists, indicating that they are capable of delivering good results.
Another strength of the salon is the affordability of certain services. Customers mention paying reasonable prices for crochet installs, passion twist hair, and knotless braids. Compared to other braiding salons in different areas, the prices at Unity African Hair Braiding Place are seen as a good deal. The affordability of services attracts customers who are looking to save money.
Additionally, the cleanliness and speed of service are also mentioned as strengths of the salon. Commenters appreciate the clean environment and the efficiency of the stylists. Unity African Hair Braiding Place is described as working fast, which is a positive aspect for customers who value their time. The cleanliness of the salon adds to the overall professional impression.
On the other hand, there are weaknesses highlighted in the comments as well. One major weakness is the lack of professionalism in certain aspects. Commenters mention that hairstylists often take pauses to gossip or be on their phones while working on customers' hair. This behavior can be seen as unprofessional and can hinder the overall experience for some customers. Additionally, the random walk-ins who pressure customers to buy products or engage in gossip is also seen as unprofessional. These behaviors can make customers feel uncomfortable and disrupt the salon experience.
Another weakness mentioned is the inconsistency in the quality of the braids. Commenters note that some braids were not uniform in size, and the hair was not properly stretched, resulting in a poor appearance. Inconsistent quality can be a significant drawback for customers seeking a polished and professional look.
The issue of overcharging is also mentioned as a weakness. Commenters express dissatisfaction with Fatima, who attempted to charge more than the agreed-upon price. Overcharging and greediness are seen as unprofessional and can negatively impact the salon's reputation. Customers expect transparency and fairness when it comes to pricing, and any attempts to overcharge can create a negative perception.
In conclusion, Unity African Hair Braiding Place has both strengths and weaknesses. The expertise and affordability of the stylists are highlighted as strengths, along with the cleanliness and efficiency of the salon. However, the lack of professionalism, inconsistent quality, and instances of overcharging are mentioned as weaknesses. The salon could benefit from addressing these weaknesses to provide a better overall experience for customers.

I love my Mimi although she doesn't do my hair anymore. Someone else from the shop did my braids. Just showo them my photo. They will know who did it. Happy Hair Braider Hunting!!!
Never again! Braids were not uniform in size. Hair was not stretched properly which caused the ends to look horrible. The picture to the right is the way the style should have turned out. Very unprofessional work.
Kane did my hair, regular box braids even though she charged a little too high, $190... but it turned out amazing! The experience was okay, they just pause way too much while doing your hair to gossip and be on their phones. Also they keep letting anybody randomly walk in to pressure you to buy their products or just simply walk in to gossip too.. other than that I was satisfied with my hair but the shop could use some professionalism...
I loved the price for the crochet install!!!! I paid them 70.00 to install my passion twist hair and I ended up saving some money because I live in Queens and The African Braiding Shops over there charge 130.00 for a crochet install smh!!! I adored the fact it only took 2.5 Hours for everything due to my passion twist hair already being braided and pre-looped! I also got a wash and dry so that was only 10.00 more❤❤❤❤❤. There was a little disagreement within the African women and they did have a fight amongst themselves for 20 min or so lol lol lol lol lol so it did get a little turnt up in there for a tiny while but everything else was perfection!!!!!
Them Harlem prices be crazy. She wanted to charge me $70 to braid my own hair in a mohawk style. Braids aren't tiny and honestly the job isn't perfect and it looks like my friend might've done it. Would've gotten perfection for $40 in the Bronx!! But hey when your girl isn't available, you settle.
Koniba is amazing. Does a great braiding job and is fast, professional, kind and reasonable. They’re in Room 8. Everyone in here seems to do a good job and they’re are fast. I come from Philadelphia to get my hair here. The hair do last long as well. I go tired of mine after 6 week (personal preference) but it still looked neat. People were asking why I was taking it out.
this place is clean and they work fast. shout out to mimi. I got knotless braids. which i just took out.. my hair growth is impressive. I mean with regular braids they tend to pull your hair out. I guess its the knot. ????????‍♀️Idk but what I do know is
I'll be back when this quarantine is over.
Good service with some results but but be careful of some who try to over charge like Fatima in the first room. Sis wanted to charge me 180 for braids. We came to a conclusion of 150 and i didnt have change. Would you believe sis still try to take the 180. #greedy.
