Called the Cake shop a week before our son’s birthday party and most want/need extra time but the team was able to accept my order of a custom cake. The cake was a hit, everyone said it tasted great, and every one continued to compliment on the aesthetics of the cake.
The Cake Shop did not disappoint and will use them in the future!
They make a wonderful Sonic theme pull apart cupcake cake for my son's birthday. I also got my daughter's cake from them for her first birthday. Everyone raved about the cake, the look, texture and taste.
I ordered what I believed was going to be a hyper-realistic text book cake (a la the pictures on the website). This is what I expressed during my phone consultation. What I received, however, was a sheet cake covered with large sheets of fondant. The cake was DELICIOUS and done on time, so I’m giving three stars (that’s how good it was!).
Not only was the NOT hyper-realistic, it did not have the text I ordered. I had told and text messaged the text I wanted on the cake, and was told it was possible. I was also only told about 45 minutes prior to pick up time that my text was “not possible,” and I had to call and find out myself. I was not notified in the week the cake was being designed and built. I never spoke with anyone who spoke enough English to fully grasp the concept, nor to explain to me that the fondant had to be printed on and there would be no free-style design happening at all. I was able to deduce this after a few conversations (and once the cake was already complete). My ask was for them to update the title of a text book and they were unable to do this, nor understand they could edit the image online before printing it onto the fondant. I also had to watch my cake cave in under all of the heavy, terribly placed, fondant again and again, and that was a bummer too.
I ordered a cake for my mother’s 80th birthday and it turned out absolutely gorgeous; it really exceeded our expectations! The flavor of both the guava filling and almond cake was an absolutely delicious combination. Every single guest at the party raved about how incredible it was (and mentioned how much better it was than their own wedding cakes!). They were so helpful in guiding us with the flavors and design, we will definitely use them again! Thank you so much The Cake Shop!
We got what we wanted in a short time notice. My husband brought in a picture and they went beyond to make it look nice and also tasted superior to any cakes we’ve had.
I feel nostalgic every time I come. I took my mom here when she was still with us. She was getting her car aligned next door and now it’s me doing the same thing. People and food here is always very good and the ambience is great as well.
I ordered multiple cheesecakes for my husbands birthday. This was a very big disappointment, but worse was how unprofessional the owner was when we called for refund.. he offered store credit to a store I don’t live anywhere near, also I would not go back to even if I did… I included a picture as proof we did not eat them… we were at Kobe steak and even the staff knew we did not eat these cakes … honestly if the “owner” had not been so rude to both my son and myself and just refunded the money I would not add review, anyone can have a bad day… I was hung up on before I could every finish talking to explain what I wanted , if there was a negative zero review I would give it . Very bad business and cakes. Very disappointed …
We stopped in to try some of their desserts in the display cases and were amazed by the variety. Muffins, brownies, cookies, cheesecake slices, and small cakes. The decorations and flavors of each were impressive too. We got a cookies and cream cake and Black Forest cake to go - very moist cake and the light whipped frosting was delicious. We will definitely be returning!
