What a place!
The boathouse restaurant blew me away with their new menu. Everything smelled so incredible. I had a Boathouse burger with sweet potato fries that was out of this world!
The patio is lined with beautiful flowers and the ambience is to die for - you’re overlooking Hayden lake with great food and drinks. What a great spot !
This is a lovely place for lunch. The server was friendly and helpful, and the sweet potato waffle fries were great! Also a beautiful view.
Greeted at the entrance with a huge smile and warm welcome! Still spring temperatures so opted to sit inside. Delightful waitstaff (Brooklyn) shared some favorites off the new menu. I had the North Idaho version of my favorite banh mi! Vegetarian, (tofu) amazing flavor combos of huckleberry and pickled carrots on a wonderful roll. My husband's burger also garnered rave review, fresh meat, not frozen, great toppings.
Wine selection was excellent.
Looking forward to returning and sitting outside for summer ambiance!!! Congrats to the new GM and Chef for great turnaround of a locals favorite!
A fantastic spot on Hayden Lake during the summer. Huge deck over looking the lake with upbeat music- always finding friends hanging out here! New menu, new chef, new management really makes a difference. We had the Boathouse Burger with huckleberry bbq sauce, and amazing waffle sweet potato fries. My husband had the fish and chips and the fish was fresh and hand breaded. My mom ate the shrimp tacos and the flavor was amazing. Can't wait to come back soon!
I could not recommend the Boat House more, if you are looking for a fun environment with great food. The boat house is the place I will be all summer!
Bummer. Used to be good. They do not accept food orders after 6:30pm even on a Saturday? Most food is freezer to fryer consession stand food. Ordered burger with upcharge of bacon but no bacon and extra patty which we did not want nor was there an offer to correct the bill. Fish and chicken and chips look like the ones you get at the grocery store and cooked to oblivion. 3 stars only for the beautiful atmosphere and view of Hayden Lake. My pictures look fantastic compared to what the food tasted like. Sad to have to give this review as I like to support local businesses but this place could put a little more effort into their food.
New menu, new management. Legit chefs, super good. I’ve had the Bahn Mi, the fish tacos and the wings. All fantastic. It’s gonna be a good summer, lakeside!

After some boating, we docked at the marina to grab some food and drinks. There were 10 of us and we were all served within 10-15 minutes. The food was fresh and filling. We ended up staying for the fun atmosphere, good drinks, and friendly staff. We all loved the fries, sandwiches, sauerkraut hot doffs, and burgers. Can’t wait to make this our regular boating stop.
I can’t emphasize the accommodating staff. With the recent change in management, the managers and staff are so friendly and welcoming to this dock side paradise. ????????????????♀️
