Best WLM Reviews
It's been two weeks since I and 25 of my motorcycle friends dropped by for lunch. The food was great, the service was even better, and separate checks were no problem. Thanks to the staff for making our visit a memorable one. We'll be back. In groups of two or three next time. I promise.
Good comfort food. Staff was attentive & friendly. I had ham breakfast... hubby had an omelet, opt for country potatoes vs. the hashbrowns. Was relaxing environment. 3 stars for the atmosphere... building could use updating. The ceiling was sagging a lot.
We have been going to black iron for 4 years now, pretty much every Sunday. Over the last year, the prices have gone sky high, while the food quality has gone down. It is very frustrating to spend close to $50 for 3 things, just to have the food cold, small portioned for the price, and sometimes has things missing. We always get our food to go, so to get home and find things missing is frustrating. And the food being brought home should still be warm, not cold. The young lady that works Sunday mornings is fabulous!! I just can't justify spending this kind of money for low quality. Plus, when the cook is told something is wrong, he gets angry when he has to fix things, (I have heard him complain personally). This is not how things should be for a $50 meal.
Very cozi little pub in the beautiful Oregon logging country. I had a brew and chatted with Kris and some locals. The wood stove was stoked and cranking with more firewood stacked at the ready, on a chili, damp Saturday.
Chicken fried steak was good. Got charged for gravy on the side when, if I had ordered mashed potatoes, I would not have been charged.
The vegetables were not grilled vegetables as stated on the menu.
Good food and nice selection of beers on tap. Reasonable prices. Great place to go when you're biking the Banks Vernonia trail. They have a patio and bike racks, so you can park your bike where you can see it.
I honestly thought I had rated this place already, and was surprised I had not. All the better because I can give a better review, lol. The chef salad (modified by us) was nice and fresh cut when ordered, and I can say I am completely addicted to the veggie burger!
(Although the sauce is not as said on menu, but I like it better anyhow) The service has always been good and they are willing to do the little extras I like when I order.
(Like stuff on the side, or extra sides of what not)
I try to stop in whenever possible to get my fix.
Service was spectacular and the food was delicious. Coffee was so yummy ????
