The brisket and the collard greens were 100% legit. Really good. The burnt ends were average, sausage was good, BBQ sauce selection was interesting and very tasty. The restaurant building was all concrete and plastic....noisy and uncomfortable, although the open air bar was a cool feature.
This spot is not only uniquely cool but also a haven for delicious BBQ. ????The indoor/outdoor dining setup is perfect for family gatherings or catching a game in the beer garden. ????Tried the ribs and collards – both absolutely outstanding. Every sauce is freshly made and it truly reflects in the taste. The ribs boast perfect seasoning, smoky goodness, and a delightful meaty, juicy, and tender texture. The Bearded Pig is unquestionably one of my top dining choices in Jacksonville Beach, Florida. ????????
The Bearded Pig offers very good barbecue with a varied choice of sauces. Food is ordered upon entering and promptly brought to your table. The servers are friendly and quick.
The atmosphere has an industrial efficiency to it. A bit loud, mostly due to the hard surfaces from table to chairs to flooring, which adds to the industrial atmosphere. It does give a sense that it is readily cleaned and sanitized, which is a benefit.
There is table service, which would imply that tipping is customary. The tip is prompted when you pay, not after the service is given, so paying your server a cash tip after the meal rather than through the stores point of sale system would be a preferred method.
The Bearded Pig has great food when compared to other fast food stores and a good place for a quick meal at a somewhat premium price. Having a relaxed meal and conversation with friends would be better elsewhere.
My wife and I both ordered the Pulled Pork Sandwich but I got the sweet potato fries and she got the Mac and cheese. Needless to say we were not disappointed. Both were super juicy and smokey. The fries were crispy and seasoned nice. The Mac and cheese was creamy and delicious. The service was quick and the atmosphere was nice and not too busy. Would come here again in the future and try something else.
I had a fantastic experience at The Bearded Pig in Jacksonville, FL. The wings were flavorful, the pulled pork sandwich was top-notch, and the sweet potato fries and mac and cheese were delightful sides. The variety of flavors made the meal memorable. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a tasty barbecue spot in the area.
The food was amazing. Got the sampler and the brisket was the best brisket I've ever had. So moist and tender I couldn't believe we randomly stopped at this place on the side of the road and got the best barbecue I've had to date. The ribs were a little dry same as the chicken but that's to be expected of its being smoked. It was still delicious and the barbecue sauce options were great! The banana pudding was my last test to see if it was a fluke and it was great as well! Had a great experience and amazing food all around!
This place was very good. I don't eat meat, but the veggie platter was wonderful and you could choose four sides. I had collard greens, mac and cheese, sweet and sour beans, and French fries. This place is dog friendly which is a huge plus. It has a large outdoor patio, very good beer selection, and the service was amazing. Very nice employees, very chill place. Highly recommend.
Best barbecue I've had in a while. The spare ribs are soooo big, I was in rib heaven. Potato salad and the Mac and cheese was pretty good too. Great drinks, fast service, they do run out of their popular items so be on the look out for that!
